"Heather the manager was very friendly and welcoming.
We got our drinks at the bar and confirmed our stay and we had a lovely evening meal.
The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.
Definitely would recommend a stay."

"We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was good. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool and steam room were good. The gym was probably the biggest one I've seen in a hotel. Plenty of parking available. We slept very well here. Overall a great experience and we'd visit again, but have dinner somewhere else."

"Overall very good experience - the hotel, the rooms, cleanliness, staff, value for money, check in, check out, standard of rooms and facilities - All excellent. Except that there is cow dung smell when you open windows because of the farms and animals in the nearby houses, sheds etc. I understand its not related to hotel, but just rural locality. Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. "From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north."
"We enjoyed staying in the property. We had a car and can visit all the Lake District attractions from the location. The view of the hotel was superb and manage to take some nice snaps. English Breakfast was included and the hospitality was superb. I faced flush issue with the toilet but the hotel has resolved the issue within quick turnaround time.
