"We absolutely loved our stay at Castelo Guest house. The room was beautiful and even though we didnt book a balcony room there was a shared space that we could drink our morning coffee and look over the beach. The location is ideal just a few minute walk from a lovely beach. The staff were super friendly and helpful and ths room was immaculate. I would recommend this place highly."

The last morning we were there they laid out an early breakfast even though I think we were the only ones there and were leaving before breakfast would normally have begun. "Nice clean simple accommodations. We would stay there again. The village of Silves is a nice, quiet smaller town (at least in May). Restaurants and sites are in walking distance. There’s also free public parking one block away."

You can borrow a towel for the beach with a ten euro deposit. CONS: The rooms themselves are in really bad shape. The bathrooms are extremely dated and mine was dirty. They only had the pump-wall soap like the kind in public bathrooms so zero shampoo/conditioner/ body wash/no bar of soap. There was a very short and dirty shower curtain which let the water...
