"The staff were incredibly professional and helpful. I couldn't fault any one of them but I would mention abby particularly. The service was impeccable and the food was very food. Breakfast was so good and there was a lot of choice. We had a pool room which was perfectly positioned next to the pool which was clean with loungers and seating. I would highly recommend a visit here and we will certainly visit again."

"A really comfortable hotel in a lovely village well placed for exploring North Yorkshire. The staff were all excellent, the food was superb and the bed was very comfortable. It’s not super modern as it’s in an old building but this makes it cosy and very comfortable. The outdoor pool is heated so lovely for a dip before breakfast."

"I visited the Grand about 15 years ago. That time the hotel looked a bit run down. So it was good to see the communal areas much improved. It must have been quite an hotel in it's hayday. Our room was clean and well presented. The bed was a bit hard, but the sea view was great. Things to improve. I paid for early check in, I had to wait half an hour in the que before I got to the front. I had booked in online and paid for my stay the day before. I wouldn't pay for early check in again.
