I like the location.. it was nestled in a quiet spot surrounded by condos. I like your friendly staffs and spacious room. Only downside I didn't get to swim due to rainy weather. Thanks for free breakfast and free parking.

The receptionist is very very rude. Went out for supper at 2am and back at 4am. Both were sleeping.. Then when we went into the hotel, one of the red hair aunty requested to check my ic saying 2 of us is visitor whereby we registered as stay in customer. The main door is locked and only open after they open from inside. Is impossible for visitor to come as they will have to walk past the counter and the receptionist gave us bad attitude and want to check ic... Bad stay, will never go back again.

I stayed in a deluxe Quadruple room which was very big and spacious. The photos on the booking websites e.g. Expedia are totally outdated. They reburbished the deluxe rooms so they all look really nice. Pool is great too. Only complaints are the bathroom does have a smell to it which is irks me. It may be coming from the drain. Water also leaks out from the glass shower door while showering which makes the floor wet. Breakfast was simple - juice, eggs, sausages and toast which I don't mind. Walking about 5 mins out there are small supermarkets and restaurants to eat as well.

The smell doesnt seem clean, smell of pest is manifested but dont see any of it thats good thing. The door was broken on our last day, but the service of the staff in reception is really good. So nothing bother but thay can improve on some areas I had mentioned.

家族連れ向きのホテル

ホテルというよりはのんびりした保養所のような印象でした。雰囲気的にも家族連れ向きで、ビジネスマンには向かないと思います。WiFiが部屋まで届かず、ストレスがたまり不便でしたから。プールも予想より小さく子供には良いと思いますが、大人には入りにくい。 一方、部屋は広々としており、スーツケースが広げやすくゆったり出来ました。シャワーとバスタブは別々でした。スリッパはありません。朝はブッフェで卵料理が注文できます。シンガポールのフワフワしたケーキが美味しかったです。受付に45分前までに頼めば、ニュートン、リトルインディア、オーチャードまで車で送ってくれますが、16時30分迄。ニュートン駅からホテルまでは思ったより遠く不便でした。

This hotel is located in a very peaceful locality and at a walking distance from Newton MRT. The Newton food centre on the opposite of the MRT is a inexpensive place to try many types of food. But the vegetarian choice is limited. The nearby Balmoral Plaza houses a 7 Eleven outlet, an Indian Restaurant, a Pizzeria. Overall a reasonably good place to stay when on a vacation. The hotel serves breakfast in the little restaurant beside the swimming pool. Restaurant gets too crowded during the breakfast time and have to wait to find a table.

There were at least 15 mosquitoes in the rooms when we checked in, I went to desk to see if there was something they could do about it and they did not have anything to spray or use to kill/get rid of them. They ended up biting my daughter all over to where she has whelps all over her body form these bites. The wifi was also very poor and could not be used on my computer as it was too poor of a signal. The people were pleasant that worked there, it was just not comfortable and there were dead bugs on the floor and water damage on the walls.

The staff was very considerate, turning on the A/C and lights before I returned from afternoon outdoor activities, which in Singapore, was very welcome! They have a nice little restaurant there with a cook who can pretty much whip up anything you ask. Rooms were spacious and our room had a large patio, which was very nice. The breakfast included made-to-order eggs, some meat, fresh fruit, juices, cereal, bread, peanut butter, kaya, etc. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Great little hotel for a family on a budget.

Great location, pool excellent & service excellent. Room was nice and big. Having breakfast included was a bonus even if it was basic, tea/coffee, two cereals, toast, Asian noodles, fruit, juice and eggs cooked as either scrambled, fried or omelette. The only downside was the beds were very hard. If they upgraded the beds or added a mattress topper it would have made our stay that much more memorable. Being close to Newton was also a bonus.

Quaint hotel offering a slice of old-time SG

Chose Hotel VIP because of its location: very close to Friend's home. The outdoor pool and breakfast are mere icing on the cake. Food court by foot and MRT Newton by short cab ride, the hotel is perfect for my purpose of visit. One mild complaint is the next-door guests who banged the door with complete disregard for hours of rest. Please note that the hotel is well-maintained yet quiet seasoned, and the wooden doors don't seem to provide much soundproofing.

The staff were excellent very helpful and shuttle service To mrt station was very helpful. Breakfast needs reviewing not much choice for Western tourists but can cope with it for a few days stay. Building is very old and may require some refurbishment.
