I and my friend stayed at this hotel about 2 nights, overall, it's good hostel. Nice staff, clean room, clean bathroom/toilet, near MRT (about 5 minutes walk). However, the reception is only available from 7a.m to 12p.m, so it was difficult for us to check out at 6 a.m. In addition, the light in room is not enough bright (only one light bulb in room).

Close to metro, only a 15 min walk into the centre. Lots of shops and food places nearby. Little India has very cheap shops.
Hotel was a little dated and could do with a re furb. Stairwell was covered in random things such as clothes rails and one morning there was a mattress with someone laying on it!
Staff friendly and upgraded me to a 2 bed dorm for no reason.
Breakfast very basic, drinks, bread and jam.
I got a good deal for the 6 bedded female room. After reading the reviews I was expecting a rather shabby hostel but was prepared to let that go as would only be staying for 2 nights.
However my overall experience at this hostel was quite pleasant. I don't know what those bad review leavers were talking about. Perhaps they haven't stayed at hostels a lot. I have quite some experience staying at hostels worldwide and have stayed at far worse places for far dearer prices.
If you're a seasoned backpacker as well, then I wouldn't think you'll have problems staying here.
Wifi works really well in the room as in the reception area. Air condition only gets turned on after 6pm (there is a fan and a vent in the room as well), but at least there is air conditioning, and if you feel the room gets a bit stuffy, you can always try to ask the staff to turn on the AC a bit earlier. Breakfast wasn't exactly "full breakfast" as stated in the description, but rather just bread, spreads, milk tea, coffee and hot chocolate. But really who wants to have a full meal of continental breakfast when street food in Singapore is so affordable and delicious? The bed seemed clean and comfy enough for me.
The size of the room was extremely small for 6 bed though (more suitable for 4 bed max in my opinion). There are 2 bathrooms on the floor I stayed. Due to the design of the shower, the toilet seat would always get wet after showering, which made it a bit yucky for toilet users.
Despite what reviews/description says, it is not close to the subway station. There are two walkable distance, but it's at least a 15 minute walk to each (and since sidewalks are not always there, walking with your stuff is a big hassle). It is a hostel. The rooms are poorly lit. The bathrooms are gross and inconveniently made--the toilet gets wet when you shower. The bathrooms are shared and by that they mean, there is one bathroom (one cubicle: one toilet, one sink, one shower, all in one room) per floor--so about 8-10 people, if not more, sharing it. So expect to wait for the bathroom, regardless of what time you want to use it, except maybe in the middle of the day. For breakfast, there is toast, jam, and a coffee (pre-made with milk and sugar--your only option).
Good location, a couple blocks from the MRT train station. Apart from that the hostel is pretty basic. Rooms are clean enough but the bathroom on our floor seemed ignored. There were boxes and what seemed like dirty sheets littering the stairways. Overall wouldn't stay again.
Dua mlm kami mnginap..crew hotel ramah..cafe di lobby hotel asik..suasana jd asik krn kbnykn tamu dari indonesia dan crew hotelnya pun kbtuln org indonesia..
Lokasi stategis..bnyk pilihan jajanan di sekitar..utk backpacker cocok
extremely rude and incompetent staff, cleanness is bad . bed bugs beware and staff dont bother either, try asking for water and staff tell u take it from the toilet :(
The air con in the room is not efficient or powerful enough to cool the room. There is no window which makes the situation even bad. To compensate this a fan is installed in the room. The room was stinking due to sweaty clothes of others.
Surprisingly pleasant
Good location next to big mall and MRT
Room is a bit cramped though, my opinion too many beds in space space.

Fernloft City at Jelan Besar
Accessible place so you can get around Singapore. Just 2-3 minutes away from City Square Mall. Friendly staff. Though we were so uncomfortable getting out from our room to the toilet, our experience was pleasant. Will definitely recommend and stay again. - Eric A.

Nice hostel convenient to downtown.
Nice hostel close to the MRT and Mustafa Center. Stayed in a private room with my wife, but still had to share a bathroom with everyone else on our floor. Lots of people trying to take a shower in the morning so you have to plan accordingly. Complimentary small continental breakfast was good, and if you get up too late you can still buy coffee and pastries. Staff was friendly but seemed to struggle with English.
We enjoyed our time but you get what you pay for. Location in Little India is nice to see a more authentic area of Singapore. Very basic rooms, no window and shared bathroom that was often in use, clean enough... for the price and hostel life what can you expect?! ;) The staff were extremely friendly and wonderful people. Breakfast with yummy coffee included. Recommend staying here for a few days.

Very stinky rooms from people who dont wash theyr feet..i know is not the hostel problems ..they shouldnt be allowed to come with the shoes inside the room
