Sehr zentral

vom 21.2.2018 bis 5.2.2018 hielten wir zwei uns in einem Deluxe-Zimmer auf. Anfänglich wollte von der Reception niemand etwas von unserer Buchung wissen. Weil aber das Hotel den Besitzer gewechselt hat, ging es einige Tage, bis wir sicher waren, dass wir dort auch bleiben konnten. Wir buchten ohne MZ. Frühstück in unmittelbarer Nähe überall lecker, preiswert und wird mit Liebe serviert. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und trotzdem war das Zimmer sehr ruhig. Andere Touristen waren sehr selten einquartiert. Das Hotel wird belegt durch chinesische Angestellte von örtlichen Casinos die massenhaft vorhanden sind und noch gebaut werden (gegenwärtig ca. 45 allein in Sihanoukville).

Convenient location, weak air conditioning

The Coolabah Hotel is conveniently located, a short walk from Ochheuteal Beach and very close to the Golden Lions Roundabout, which makes it easy to find. The staff was friendly and helpful, and getting laundry done was very cheap. (They charge by the kilo, not by the garment.) The room was decent but pretty basic. My only real complaint was that the air conditioner was weak and seemed to take forever to cool the room (and even then it only cooled the side of the room nearest the air conditioner).

Good location for nights out and ferry links

Hotel was pretty much how I expected it to be. aircon was good shower was fine (although some water pressure issues once) good size flat screen TV (although I couldn't get the HDMI to work for some reason). Mattress was a little too firm but I think that may be normal here as the last hotel in siem reap was the same. staff were very nice and helpful. there is a place right next door for booking ferry's, coaches etc and the prices are the same as the other places around town and there's a bakery directly opposite.

Awful & Overpriced

Just dreadful and far overpriced. Hot water didn't work (fixed, then broke again). Rock-hard bed. Flat pillows. Worn furnishings. Dim lighting. Unusable internet in room. Restaurant botched orders each day. Food poor. No phone in room. At half the price, maybe. Good location. Friendly staff. But place has tanked since being sold by Aussies to Russian. Avoid and find better deal.

Very good service and friendly staff

Good hotel but showing its age. Please take note : no elevator. I didn't mind but for some folks this may be critical. Staff was very friendly and gave very good service. Kudos to staff.

Buona posizione,pulizia scadente

L'hotel ha una buona posizione,vicino alla strada principale con ristoranti e bar e la strada che porta alla spiaggia.La pulizia lascia un po' a desiderare.Consigliato solo per una notte prima di andare alle isole o se potete andare direttamente alle isole senza sostare a Sihanoukville .

Not what was advertised

No elevator or Handicap friendly as advertised. Owner manager allowed me to check out after the first night. It would be helpful if contacting Expedia to correct this was easier.

Bedbug bonanza

Not good at all. My "deluxe" room was very worn, sheets had stains on them, one of the bedside lamp bulbs was out, and the aircon was very noisy. Worst of all: lots and lots of bedbugs, which I had to battle every night. The staff was nice, but the stay overall was abysmal, quite expensive, too. After three nights I moved to another hotel, both cheaper and far superior.

Moldy rooms, and overwhelming mildew smell.

The 1st room smelled so bad we had them move us. That was was bad also, so we moved to another which was better smelling, but bathroom door was only hanging on by bottom hinge and shower was filthy. Would not recommend to others.

Nice place for fun and food

The hotel is only a few steps to the main street and night life and only a short walk to the beach and casinos. I would say that covers the reasons to be Sihanoukville.

Bra läge med sådär renlighet

Det fanns ingen hiss i hotellet och vårt rum låg ett par trappor upp, helt OK förutom när man ska släpa sitt bagage. Nära till piren och det ligger matställen lite runt omkring. Duschen gick inte riktigt att ställa in på den temperaturen som man ville, antingen var det varmt eller så var det jättevarmt. Det var dessutom en hel del damm på tavlor, väggar och tak. Helt OK för en natt eller så men skulle inte rekommendera för en längre vistelse.

Im Erdgeschoss Problem mit dem Abfluss und unangenehmen Geruch gehabt. Durch ein Upgrade ohne Aufschlag wurden die Probleme beseitigt.

Close to the beach but not sure where high marks

Not sure where the great reviews are coming from....maybe the past. I had a not so great experience and even had my bathroom faucet run throughout the night. Informed the front desk and they could not do anything at night and said they would leave a note. I had to rig it myself and next morning had to raise the issue again. I seemed to be a distraction to the front desk from them enjoying doingredients nothing. Loved the town but would stay on an island or otres beach.

Location tops and nice pool.

Decent rooms in a good location to the Serendipity Pier and the ferry out to the islands. We stayed one night in a room with a queen bed and a single bed. The hotel stored our bags while we went out to Koh Rong Samloen for an night which was awesome. The Greek restaurant directly across the road was delicious if you are looking for close and surprisingly good Greek food. Also the pool was lovely!

Good hotel in downtown Sihanoukville

Pleasant enough for a short stay. Decent breakfast and pool. Good, friendly service. Hotel is not the most luxurious but you get what you pay for.
