Ok, it's a budget friendly hotel for sure and the rooms are, unfortunately, smoking (which was my mistake), but the staff and fellow guests were all kind, polite, and helpful.

Our room was adequate for our needs. The motel is doing extensive renovations. Only complaint we had was a damp carpet betwee the bed and refrigerator.

I was traveling for work and looking for a cost effective (cheap) hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked,nice TV with more channels then I needed, wi-fi worked great, and the front office staff were friendly and efficient on check in and check out. I could not ask for more. When I booked the room based on the price I was concerned, but the next time I need to stay in Troy OH this is that place I will be and I recommend it to anyone that needs a room for a good nights rest.

This place was filthy the sink facet was broken. No trash can. The pillows stunk, the sheets were stained yellow. It was kind of an emergency stop and stay bc my wife was not feeling well.

The reviews definitely led us astray. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful, and we enjoyed the family restaurant next door. Otherwise… the first room we had was heavily smoked in, and asked to switch rooms. We both still smelled of really stale smoke when we left the next morning. The rooms are dated/worn and the bed platform was sheet metal and made a ton of noise. Comforter had loads of holes, *hopefully* from burns and not bugs. Avoid - this one was a mistake.

Horrible, rather stay in a tent.

I asked for non smoking room, but ended up with a smoking room. I went to wash my hands and the whole knob came off, bathroom door someone got into a fight with, door knob hanging on with blue tape. Only one bed had a sheet on it. Haven’t wiped anything down in who knows how long, got some crack head running around banging on doors. Won’t be staying there EVER again.

Best Value In Town!

I've been staying at the Budget Inn for about 2 months now, and for the price you really can't beat it. And they are currently in the process of renovating all of the rooms. Not that they needed it. A lot of people would consider it to be outdated but personally i like it. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. You would think that a motel in this price range would have a lot of drug activity and prostitution going on but I haven't seen any indication of any activity of the sort. It's pretty quiet here actually. Since the new management took over they've cleaned the place up a lot and they won't tolerate anything like that going on. I honestly can't think of a single reason to complain about this place.

Not staying here again!

They called several times asking days prior as to if I still was keeping my reservation. They told me on the phone a day before that earliest check in was 9am which latest was 2pm but typically guests can arrive at 9am. We got there at 11am and my room still wasn’t ready, which was a real bummer. The shower only had cold water, hole in bathroom door, toilet very low to ground, outdated furniture that the beds were HARD and if you sit on them just right…. It sounds like metal crashing. For the price: decent. The hotel all in all? 2/10. Did see a bug in my bed and in the shower!

Not happy with my stay.

I got a call when I was about an hour away asking if I was still coming. I said yes, nothing else was said. Then when I get there to check in I’m informed that there is a problem with our room and they need to fix it. My question is WHY was this not told to me on the phone!?!?!? Then there is no hot water for showers and the toilet wouldn’t flush and then the drain in the bathroom sink took about 5-10 min to drain every time. Not to mention the beds are hard as a rock. I was not happy with my stay here.

Worst motel ever. Not cleaned, lied to us two time

The worst place ever. We have stayed in. Booked the motel a week prior was supposed to been a double bed check in time was at 2 got there at 12:30 and said they had just started cleaning the room so we left to go get something to eat. Came back at 2:15 still not cleaned and said they just was getting started so y tell us at 12:30 they was cleaning it. So we said can we please just go ahead and get the key so when we get finish tonight we wouldn't have to bother anyone we'll needless to say to the room was awful was only for one bed so my son has to sleep on floor that we brought an extra cover and pillow. The bed was hard as a rock food behind the TV and in the floor. Went to use a washcloth and something was all over it. So glad we brought extra stuff. The next day left to get get an airbed cause Walmart was already closed time we got back to motel room. And some more Xtra wash cloths and towels. Never cleaned the room while we was gone either.

The moment I opened the door the smell of cigarettes was so overwhelming! the door and walls were very dirty and there was hardly any bedding-I was there about 3 minutes and ended up leaving my room key (room 217) on the counter and walked out. I did not even feel safe.
