"Travelers need to understand that Nantucket is a serene, unplugged,and historic place. The Martin House is an excellent example of a historic house turned into a boutique B & B (breakfast is light continental). There is no elevator. You walk the stairs if you are staying on the 2nd or 3rd floor. We had a wonderful time here. Everything was a short walk from the Martin House. The manager, David, was gracious and accommodating and his homemade granola was excellent. Pastry choices were outstanding. Coffee, water, and tea were available all day. The open sitting area was relaxing and pristine. Staying at the Martin House is an excellent way to disconnect from the busy world and relax in Nantucket. Highly recommend."

"Very nice location, easy walk to town. Right next to the bus depot. Excellent rooms , plenty of space. Could do with some instructions for the coffee machine, and what to do with rubbish once the bin is full. Would happily stay again."

"Awesome place, close to downtown, but far enough for peace & quiet. Having the bikes as an amenity was huge as well - lobby and bar were lovely to get a drink in before going out! Highly recommend this property!"

"Room was very clean and staff was helpful from beginning to end. Stayed in room 304 which was a top floor room. Second day in there was a bunch of stink bugs falling from ceiling onto the bed . I know they are harmless. Just annoying little creatures "

"The Nantucket Inn was amazing. Very clean and staff was so helpful. Front desk offered to lock up my bags instead of charging for the late check out. Very punctual with the hotel shuttle to and from downtown. Very comfortable room. After a long day of walking around the island, it was wonderful to relax in the hottub!"

"I’ve stayed at this hotel twice. Beautiful place, great location. The only issue I could someone having in there are no elevators. I stayed on the third floor this time and while I didn’t mind carrying my bag, someone a little older (+60) may have an issue. Staff are willing to help if necessary."

"Make sure you see the picture of the actual room before you book, Our room was incredibly small, was advertised as a standard size guest room , it was a large closet , for one guest it was manageable, two way to small ."
