"I've stayed 4 times at Laguna Hotel.
This room was not the best and the most expensive (but its July.) Single rm. The room was very dusty especially the carpets,
They need to invest in better PILLOWS.
The side panel to Bath loose. Shower head OK.
I visit Bournemouth regularly as my son at Uni."
"Upside:
SUPER friendly and helpful staff, nice bar. Good atmosphere. An amazing garden.
Great location - easy walk to the beach. Quiet, despite being central.
To manage your expectation:
- The hotel is very old with squeaky wooden floors under the carpet… the furniture is from ages ago, too. If you are after luxury, forget about it.
- The pool would be great in winter. For summer (particularly if there is a heatwave), it is way too warm!
CAUTION:
If you are booking one of the cheaper room options, call them and confirm your room will have a proper window."
"Room was clean, however no cleaner on the second day. Came while we were in the room and said she'll be back later, so we left to give space but came back to find no one ever came back... staff was friendly enough, maybe more communication would be nicer. Breakfast-very poor, not even 1 vegetable on offer, better eat out."
"An enjoyable 1 night stay in busy pub/hotel. Excellent position close to beach and a very reasonably priced bar. Small car park full mostly by beach walkers rather than guests, however street parking close by. We had a wonderful sea-view room. A few cons: building and rooms looking dated and tired, in need of a refresh. Would have made use of a fan as windows can only be opened slightly. A small fridge also to keep drinks cool would have been welcomed. Would stay again for certain."
"Fantastic location with great views out over the beaches. Close amenities such as restaurants, shops, beach etc. Outdoor pool is lovely again with views out to see. Delicious breakfast with good selection of food. Helpful staff. Limited parking but does have EV chargers. Highly recommended"
