A very nice hotel with a friendly staff. The room had a balcony and a fantastic view of the bay. Everything was newly renovated and it was absolutely value for money
This hotel must be one of the worst ive stayed in, and ive stayed in a lot… Its like stepping back in time, to wooden furniture, stone hard bed and disgusting bathroom. The bathroom has no shower curtain, and there is a window looking out into the hallway!! Everyone can watch you taking a shower or using the toilet. And there is no way to close it! The bathroom door would not close either… There was also mold in the ceiling. The rooftop is huge, with a view. But the light on the rooftop can not be used, so we had to use a flashlight to play cards in the evening.
Some of the staff were very nice. Except for this, DO NOT stay here. This place needs a huge update.

Fine basic hotel, great location and superb staff
Great location, and fantastic staff. They could not have been nicer. Special praise has to go to "Ali" who went out of his way to make us feel like celebrities because we've visited before !! Thank-you, I'm smiling at the memory.
The rooms have great sea views and balconies, with air con. They are a little tired and for a small amount of money could be made much nicer - add shower curtains and hook for the shower head. provide some coat hangers ..... nothing that spoiled our stay, just some suggestions.
Hotel was very basic.
No water in bathroom one evening.
Bed was uncomfortable, the kettle didn’t work properly. Plug sockets were unusable in places. No shower holder, had to hold it at all times, virtually no water pressure to shower.
Fantastic view, but all hotels have the same view.
View from front rooms are fabulous, property is very old, bathroom is small, no enclosed shower, room smells, doonas smell.
Overpriced for the poor conditions and state of the rooms.

OK
Great views over the harbour but 74 stairs to get to the room was a bit tiring (especially after a walk up to Anopolis and back!)

My friends and I only spent 2 nights. The room was not the best in regards of cleaningless and the single beds were not very comfortable.
The staff seemed nice and the view from the terrace was beautiful.
This hotel was such a disappointment as Loutro is such a beautiful part of Crete. The bed configuration we requested wasn't fulfilled which was the overwhelming problem but there were so many little errors/lack of attention to detail. There was no kettle but 1 cup & a spoon. The "white" towels were grey & like sandpaper, the bath mat looked like it had been chewed by a puppy. The balcony was shared with 2 other rooms which hadn't been made clear, there were no sun umbrellas in the bases which were needed as it was in full sun. We were asked by the young man that had checked us in, we assumed the son of the family that owns the property (he was the only polite member of staff and the only one that spoke english) if everything was ok so I told him actually it wasn't & the main problem was the bed configuration. He went out of his way to try & put this right but it was quite clear form the shouting and body language from his parents that they weren't happy with this. We were shown to another room that was made up in a hurry, sheets and towels were literally thrown on to the beds by the woman in charge in a most rude manner. The 2nd room was no cleaner or smarter but appeared to be the "luxury" room as there were paper slipper on the bed! This time there was a kettle but no cups, cobwebs & dead insects and very run down. It was literally like arriving at the Greek Fawlty Towers! We had booked & pre-paid for 2 nights but we left after one!
