"Lovely rooms hotel excellent throughout"

"Very nice hotel, a lot more "upmarket" than your traditional seaside hotel. The bed was comfy, air con (not usually needed in the UK but it was 27+degrees the few days we stayed), decent toiletries, great selection of tea and coffee in the room. The type of room we booked included robes and slippers. It's a quite far from the pier if that's the vibe you're looking for. There's plenty of restaurants and a few bars around but it was overall a very quiet area overlooking the marina. The car park they mention is not part of the hotel, it's marina car park...I followed the instructions to ignore the signs stating "max stay 4 hours" so let's hope no fines come through!"

"Really nice room (partial sea view with terrace). Lovely big spacious lobby bar, very pleasant place to spend some time for rainy days, but as it was glorious weather we were moments from the beach. Staff were excellent (shout out Jerome, super friendly and helpful). Maybe some chairs and a table on the terrace adjoining the room could have made that a nice place to spend some time too."

"For what I needed, a quick stopover, it did the job but there were a few things that could have been done to improve the stay! The room (# 400) had an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke when I entered and not being a smoker it was very off putting. I opened both the bedroom and bathroom windows, put the fan on and went out for an hour. When I came back the smell wasn't quite as bad but as a non-smoker, it was still a strong smell. The room itself was a little tired with broken cupboard draws. It obviously hadn't been thoroughly checked over from the previous tenants because there were 2 beers in one of the draws leftover from a strip of 4 but hay-ho, bonus for me! A hairdryer and electric sockets near the bed would have been nice but that's just me being picky The location was good with the beach and shops only a short walk away. Parking was on the street outside the hotel and it was first come first served although it was free between 8pm and 9am. Look, when all said and done, I stayed here for a quick stopover and it did the job. If thats all your looking for then yes, go for it, it's a cheap stay and does the job but for any longer, I probably wouldn't stay here. "
