Incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Villa Putih was very comfortable. Any issues were fixed immediately. Needed some cold and flu relief and the staff helped us aquire some in no time. Food was delicious. Pool not too deep for our 8 and 10 year old boys. We will miss this place and its gorgeous sunsets. Maybe a few small negatives but they’re not worth mentioning as no place is perfect. You will not regret staying here. And Lovina is great place to visit. Wish we had more time to explore this region.

TrÚs beau séjour

TrÚs beau séjour. Devions y rester 3 nuits, y sommes restés 7. Sublime vue. Belle chambre, bonne bouffe. La seule chose à savoir c'est que le resort est à 5km environ de la route principale qui est à 15 minutes de Seririt. Donc, trÚs tranquille, mais loin de la ville.

Wir hatten einen riesigen Balkon mit wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer. Die Zimmer an sich waren geschmackvoll eingerichtet,allerdings schon etwas abgewohnt (nicht die Möbel!). BeschĂ€digte TĂŒrr-und Fensterrahmen, das Bad warschon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die TĂŒrklinke komplett abgebrochen, wurde jedoch sofort repariert. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt mit tollem Pool (generell war der Außenbereich super schön angelegt und gepflegt) und das Hoteleigene Restaurant/Bar war total schön und hatte super leckeres Essen. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das das Hotel etwas abgelegen war wurde man jederzeit umsonst zur nĂ€chsten "Einkaufstraße" gefahren und auch FrĂŒhstĂŒckspakete bei sehr frĂŒher Abreise wurden uns ein Abend vorher gemacht. Ich wĂŒrde es jederzeit wieder besuchen

Bali how you imagine

Looks like something out of mtv cribs huge sofa everybody could lie across from a large TV, nice balcony you could hear the birds chirping on and look out over the warm sea on one side and stretches of rice paddy fields through the other windows. Lovely secluded and fish in the beach right outside the villa. even gave free snorkeling equipment to us.nicest touch was they spelled out welcome with my name in white stones and flower petals to greet me. Recommend the chocolate lava cake expensive as anything but my daughters and wife still talk about it

Artistic color decoration in the whole resort area

This  resort lies in the middle of green nature with ricefields, room and terrasse with decorative wooden furnitures, also the pool area, the garden and the restaurant with a lot of flowers and beautiful decoration details, the stuff very friendly. Because my husband was not feeling very well, the rich breakfast was served on our terrasse. The manager was very open for some advice, for example to make a little path from the resort to the beach to the best point for snorkelling with a hint, how far you can swim without getting caught by a rip current. At a certain point, the current takes you out, and though its enjoyable to be drifting at high speed, the awakening comes, when you want to get back, coz then it becomes hard work even with fins, almost scary. Once you've crossed a certain line, the current slows down and you can easily swim back to the shore. That's why we recommend the stuff to warn those, who snorkel, to be aware of the rip current, that starts, where the visible cliffs near the resort end. We were granted a free late check out too, so all in all it was a quiet, relaxing, amazingly beautiful stay.

Das Hotel ist schon etwas Ă€lter, aber ist ein wundervoller Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Ganz besonders bedacht ist der Pool, der sogar ĂŒber eine Sitzmöglichkeit verfĂŒgt. Über mehrere Funkklingeln kann man dem Personal vom Pool aus ankĂŒndigen, dass man gerne etwas bestellen möchte. Der Service des Restaurants war Ă€ußerst zuvorkommend, auch wenn das Essen preiswerter und /oder besser hĂ€tte sein können. Man ist mit der Lage am Meer schon ziemlich abgeschieden. Daher ist es zum Ausspannen perfekt. Auf Unternehmungen, die man ĂŒber das Hotel Bucht, ebenso wie auf das Essen, kommen zusĂ€tzlich 21% Steuern und Servicepauschale. Das sollte man bedenken. Sehr gut hat mir der Schnorcheltrip von Lovina aus gefallen. Das berĂŒhmte Dolphinwatching in den Morgenstunden vor Lovina war fĂŒr mich weitaus weniger spektakulĂ€r, als gedacht. Ich zĂ€hlte rund 100 (!) Boote, die die Delfine eher jagten, als ihnen ihren Lebensraum zu lassen. Der schwarze Sandstrand vor der schön angelegten Hotelanlage war deutlich weniger heiß, als ich befĂŒrchtet hatte. Vom Restaurant aus kann man sowohl den Sonnenauf- als auch den Sonnenuntergang beobachten in Verbindung mit den einheimischen Anglern, die gegen die Sonne vermummt teilweise bis zum Hals im Meer stehen, ist das schon eine sehenswerte Kulisse, auch wenn man in einiger Entfernung ein Kraftwerk sieht - aber irgendwoher muss ja auch der Strom kommen... Ich wĂŒrde das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Einziger Kritikpunkt: das Preis-Leistungs-VerhĂ€ltnis

Wonderful hotel and staff, will hopefully go again

The hotel was wonderful, with excellent facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The location was quiet and peaceful, and we spent most of the week there lying around our room (with balcony to view the beach and distant mountains of Java) or relaxing in the pool and meticulously maintained gardens. We'll definitely go again!

attraktives Hotel in direkter StrandnÀhe

Das Hotel kann sich in Konkurrenz zu anderen Hotels wirklich sehen lassen. Vor allen Dingen ist es sehr ĂŒbersichtlich und ruhig. Man findet dort keine Menschenmassen vor, weil es nur 8 Zimmer beinhaltet und es ist nicht umgarnt von benachbarten Hotels. Deshalb kann man herrlich relaxen und seinen Aufenthalt genießen. Auch kann man dort herrlich schnorcheln und StrandspaziergĂ€nge unternehmen. Das Doppelzimmer war phantastisch eingerichtet und ein Balkon mit Meeresblick war ebenfalls vorhanden. Wer ein reichhaltiges FrĂŒhstĂŒcksbuffet erwartet, wird leider enttĂ€uscht. Es existieren nur zwei verschiedene FrĂŒhstĂŒcksangebote, die individuell zusammengestellt werden können und wenn man dort zu Abend essen möchte, muss man ganz schön tief in die Tasche greifen. Die Entfernung zwischen der Hauptstraße und dem Hotel betrĂ€gt ca. 2 km. Ohne einem Fahrzeug ist man dort leider völlig aufgeschmissen.

HĂŽtel de charme mais loin de tout !

Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans ce magnifique hÎtel, la suite ocean view est telle que sur les photos. La piscine est trÚs jolie et nous avons apprécié le calme, la décoration et la propreté de cet établissement. Par contre il est loin de tout et si vous n'avez pas de moyen de locomotion vous ne pouvez rien faire. Le personnel est charmant mais par contre il n'y a pas de commandant à bord ! Il n'y a aucune organisation pour les excursions. Le restaurant de l'hÎtel est trÚs agréable et on y mange trÚs bien (heureusement car il n'y a rien autour .) TrÚs bon petit déjeuner face à la mer !

North Bali - really away from it all

If you're tired of the south Bali scene or Ubud traffic jams, north Bali is the solution to crowded beaches, restaurants and hotels. You'll need to reset your expectations but that's what a new adventure is all about. The Mayo Resort was purchased by Nick, a British former investment banker from Kuala Lumpur, about two years ago. He has done a great job freshening up the 8 room property and it suited us well after two weeks of work for our charity in the nearby mountains of Munduk. North Bali hotels and villas are typically small isolated properties run by world citizens from all over the globe. The owner is the one who greets you, carries your bags to your room, seats you at dinner and shares a drink and a story or two along the way. Nick has assembled quite a roster on his team - an awesome French chef, and Austrian hotel management intern, and an assortment of enthusiastic local residents.

Small hotel, nice pool, rural setting on the beach

The highlight for us was definitely the restaurant and the French chef and his staff. Olivier prepared delicious freshly caught tuna to a very high standard, amongst many other choices. The breakfast each morning was so filling we rarely ate much lunch. My favourite snack was the fish soup. We also found the low key resort and its beautiful pool very relaxing and enjoyed spectacular sunsets. Our trips to scuba dive on Menjangan Island, trek to Gitgit waterfall, and a Buddhist temple, and a boat trip to see dolphins are all great memories we take from our time at Mayo.

Leuk kleinschalig hotel

Hotelletje heeft 4 studio's op de 1e verdieping (geen lift!) met uitzicht op zee en zwembad je. De kamers zijn groot met balkon over de volle breedte. Grote koelkast aanwezig. Badkamer met douche en toilet is OK. Airco absoluut onvoldoende, konden het niet koeler krijgen dan 27gr s'nachts (buiten 29,5) De plafondfan gaf nog enigszins verkoeling. Het restaurant is al even kleinschalig,weinig keus van gerechten maar wel goed! Ontbijt matig. Echt dieptepunt is de toegangsweg naar het complex; ca 800m lang, 1,5m breed vol kuilen en gaten en nauwelijks verhard. Dit soort weggetjes wordt wordt uitgesloten bij de verzekering van huurauto's! Het personeel is heel aardig en bereid om nog van alles te leren. Ik vind het ook storend dat op een aantal strategische punten "tip boxen" staan opgesteld.

luxury accomodations. Small resort with 6 rooms. North Bali does not have shopping centers, restaurants. It will soon when the hotel chains move in. It's quiet and peaceful so enjoy it.
