Very enjoyable stay

We had the downstairs room (3 rooms altogether) and it was HUGE, clean and comfortable. Large screened windows across the entire front giving fantastic view. Very private- no need to use the blinds. Comfortable beds and a mini-fridge to keep things cool. No tv in room but outside the room there is a sitting area with tv which is exclusively for that room. Large bathroom (at least 150 sq. feet) with good shower, double sinks and jacuzzi tub. Jeffery, the owner, is a bit idiosyncratic but a great, unobtrusive host. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderfully relaxing visit and wished we could stay longer. Next time we will bring the kids…beach access is super close, perfect for swimming, the water is clear and lovely!

Room fine, bed good. No b&b sign from road so very hard to find. Driveway so steep it was frightening. Bare minimum of facilities in room. No in room coffee/tea, no hairdryer. Lovely big home, very outdated snd freezing cold. No atmosphere at all. No interaction with owner. Definitely overpriced.

Sadly, due to Covid, this "bed and breakfast" no longer offers breakfast. Consequently not great value for money.

Very nice house with a view!

What a great view! We had the room with the mountain view, which was nice a quiet, but you can enjoy the ocean view from the huge front deck. You do feel like you’re in the treetops.

The property was pretty but the host was quite rude. When we arrived he didn't turn off his leaf blower as we parked and yelled over it. Then he asked to sign for a receipt and when I couldn't find my copy (he was giving me instructions by yelling from the stairs above me) my partner Chris picked it up and he said "Oh your husband is very smart". I thought that was a very presumptuous thing to say since my name is Alla and I paid for the room on my card and never introduced Chris as my husband. Also English is my 5th language so I get language barriers. I think this host would be considered rude in any language. The room was lovely and clean but on our second day we went back to get some stuff from our room (around 2:00 pm) and the front door was locked. Our host didn't leave us a phone number or front door key. Nor did he tell us we would have to essentially check in twice for a two day stay. All we had was our room key and our stuff locked inside where we could not reach it. On the morning we left he said hello to Chris who had headphones in and didn't hear him, so the host yelled "What is wrong with you?" Maybe? Chris didn't hear him, but there was certainly no polite goodbye. This is a beautiful spot but for over $2oo a night for a single locked room I think the host had a lot of expectations and rules for his guest but not many for himself. I wish everyone good luck as tourism picks up, but this doesn't seem like a cool way to treat visitors.

The property has a spectacular view from a large balcony and is steps away from a public beach. It is not far from Sechelt. The operator was very polite, welcoming and discreet. Our room was spacious and clean we appreciated the comfortable bed and mini fridge. The ensuite bathroom was very clean if a little worn. The main issue we had with the room was that it has a skylight, which lets in a lot of light early on summer mornings and woke us up. The kitchen was closed due to Covid so we had breakfast in town rather than here.

Although the view was spectacular the accommodation was very dated, kitchen was closed (due to covid) No amenities but a small fridge in our room, no tv, no aircon, no kettle for drinks, very disappointing for the price per night.

Bare bones and beautiful

The pros of staying here: panoramic views, quiet location, comfortable bed, kind on-site host. The cons: the house is a bit neglected. Kitchen cupboards need replacing, kitchen unusable due to COVID, no amenities (shower soap, blow dryer, shampoo and conditioner in wrong bottles, pagoda outside looks charming, but also needs repair). If you are wanting a peaceful sleep and comfy bed, panoramic views - this is the place for you.

Liked: clean, staff & service, property condition is good disliked: it is noisy as it is along the sunshine coast hwy which is busy with lots of cars passing through. it is not worth what you paid for
