"We completed the Fisherman’s Trail and wanted to find a nice place to chill and relax for a few days before heading to Germany for a family wedding. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the pool area was so relaxing with great views. We were able to easily get a boat to the Benigal caves. "We booked a 2-bedroom “villa” however when we got to our “villa” it looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia. Not only that but it was in the very back of the property almost in a separate unit called “villa memosa”. These looked completely different from all the rest o the units at the resort. "Worst nights sleep ever!! The beds were the biggest issue and the main reason I would not recommend Wyndham Residences Algarve Carvoeiro. We expected a new 4-star hotel experience, but the bed was unbelievably hard. Genuinely the hardest and most uncomfortable hotel bed we have ever slept on. There was no topper or anything to soften it, and my back still hurts. Our friends had a separate room and had the same experience. None of us slept well. The room also got extremely hot. "Vilalara Grand Hotel Algarve was one of our favorite hotels we've stayed at. The hotel was very clean and the staff were so kind in all ways. It was my husbands birthday on the stay and they surprised him with champagne and dessert. Truly incredible service and beautiful place to stay while you are on vacation in Algarve."

"We were at the end of a wonderful split trip that started with 4 nights in Lisbon followed by 4 nights in Salema (Algarve) with 2 final nights in Lisbon. We decided on the houseboat for the last two nights and so glad we did. Family if 4 with two teenagers. Great food and drink within a short walk, safe, clean, spacious and right on the water. Don’t miss live music at “Black Label” on the corner almost nightly. Great time and we’ll be back."

Initial corner suite smelled strongly of damp, faced the staff cleaning buggy parking and had issues with cockroaches.
