We arrived to the airport late evening and wanted somewhere to rest in Santiago overnight before heading south. This B&B is very well located (lots of restaurants, shopping, and activity nearby), but is on a side street and is surprisingly quiet. The host, Ignacio, was wonderful, and really made us feel at home. The property is a bit old and the lodgings are spartan, but it's very homey and a terrific value for the price.

A nightmare experience
The room was so small that I had to store my luggage in the shower. The door had a privacy screen in the form of a torn plaid sheet. The mattress was severely lumpy and I was ready to slide off unless I wedged myself against the wall. The window looks out on a battered bamboo screen. There were no hangers, no closet, no drawers, and there was one shelf. I really don’t appreciate spending money and my hard-earned vacation time camped in someone’s half a kitchen listening to them and their friends for hours on end (and if you’re going to do that, at least invite me…). I have stayed at B&Bs in almost 20 countries on 5 continents (including South America) and I don’t feel at all that I came here with unrealistic expectations of what a B&B should be; there needs to be at least some space and appropriation for guests. The house is about 1400 square feet for three family members, their cook, and six guest rooms, which gives you an idea of what it’s like. The guests are mostly family friends, including the Swiss guy that the B&B owner took to the airport to meet me for $30 ride to the B&B (by the way, offering a free bottle of wine upon arrival does not distract from the fact that the charged ride is almost double what an authorized airport taxi would cost). In other words, the B&B family has lots of friends coming and going who are “guests,” and fill in the odd “room” here and there with ordinary travelers like me expecting professional accommodation.

Good little place.
We enjoyed our stay at this b&b. The place was cute and tidy and the location was wonderful on a quiet little street in providencia. Our room was upstairs and in the gables of the building so you couldn't stand in all of it which made it feel a little cramped and hard to get out of bed on one side. Everything was very clean, the bathroom spotless and service was very accommodating! Yea and coffee on arrival and helpful as they called our last hotel out of town to request they look for my cell phone. Limited english spoken which was Not a problem for us with my limited Spanish.

Ótimo staff, mas a estrutura não é muito boa.
O hotel é uma casa antiga onde todo o piso faz muito barulho. O banheiro é super simples e achei a banheira perigosa e escorregadia. E não tinha onde se segurar. O pessoal que trabalha lá é super educado e prestativo. Adoramos todos. O café da manhã é simples, mas gostoso. É preciso pensar para que tipo de pessoa poderia indicar esse estabelecimento. Para mim no final das contas valeu a pena, mas muitos amigos não gostariam de lá.

Never felt more at home!
I could start with how many restaurants are nearby, how close it is to a Metro station, how reasonable the price...all of those are true, but the main thing to say is that Ignacio, Yami, Claudia and Carla made us feel so much welcomed that each day returning from to Providencia felt like coming home. We've never felt quite that way anywhere else. Along with their friendliness and helpfulness, we also had the opportunity to meet and talk with a wide variety of other guests from the U.S., Brazil, Argentina, various parts of Europe and even Australia.

Vi spenderade en natt på detta prisvärda B&B. Supertrevligt mottagande och varm service. Rummen är små men mysiga. Läget är superbra med promenadavstånd till det mesta. Nära till tunnelbanan (som i sig är väldigt bra för att ta sig runt Santiago). Vi var väldigt nöjda med vår natt hos Ignasio och hans personal. Väl värt ett besök då det står sig bättre än många av hotellen runt i Santiago som ofta tar 2 eller 3 gånger så mycket för en natt. Tips!

Friendly awesome service
The people and service was great. People were most helpful, polite and friendly. However the rooms upstairs were too warm and bright. It was like being in a sauna or solarium. Otherwise my stay was fantastic

We try to correct the deficiencies by the time they decide to return. I think that for the next time it is summer they ask for less warm rooms despite the air conditioning. Great year for you.

Old Providencia
The Provodencia is a classic home in a neighborhood of old old homes, well over 100 years I would guess. The rooms are compact and close. The floors must be the original wood and sound accordingly (you cannot oversleep). There is a good market nearby. Fluency in Spanish will help a lot. Breakfast is spartan; Marie Osmond would be proud of me.

Good location. Near restaurants and bars but the street was very quiet which was nice. Could hear other guests at times but generally quiet. Price was great. Ignacio was a great host, very charming. His daughter picked us up from the airport and gave us great service as well.

Não me senti muito a vontade durante a minha estadia. Cheguei de madrugada e sai de madrugada também, senti que estava incomodando devido ao horário dos meus vôos. Esse Hostel não podemos nem conversar muito durante a noite, dentro do nosso próprio quarto. Sinceramente, prefiro muito mais um hotel, pois temos mais liberdade de ir e vir.

Hospedagem aconchegante e bem localizada.
Escolhi a hospedagem porque diante de tantas ofertas pela internet era a segunda mais barata com as características que procurava e a única que não tinha reclamações, diferente da mais barata. Para não dizer que não haviam reclamações, algumas pessoas falavam sobre o chão de madeira e respectivo barulho. Bem, verifiquei que o proprietário colocou alguns tapetes para minimizar tal situação. Particularmente, isso não foi problema. Ademais, me surpreendi com o café da manhã. Sempre dizem que o café no Chile é sempre bem simples, com poucas variedades, mas o nosso café foi bastante farto e delicioso.

オーナーが親切
オーナーのイグナシオがとても親切。夜遅く到着したが、お茶を出してくれたり、滞在中も色々と気を使ってくれたり、とても親切だった。朝食は他の宿泊者と同じテーブルで食事をするが、皆おしゃべりをしながら楽しく過ごせた。B&Bならではのアットホーム的な雰囲気でした。

Great cute B&B at a bargain cost with great Serv.
It is above all a B&B. If you are expecting anything else, not a place for you. Owner is a great local guy always ready to help you. All information you need he can provide. The price is a bargain for the location. Rooms are classic and cute, as expected. Breakfast is simple, but the care in which it is delivered by the owner and his Cuban wife make it taste 100 times better. Will return there on my next visit.
Thanks for your time to write about us. We are improving the infrastructure. We just put central heating and hair dryers in all rooms. We love to have you with us in the future. Big hug

So-so Accomodations for the price.
Our bathroom was very small and a bit difficult to use. The staff person that we met did not speak any English so that made our experience a bit more challenging for us. Facility was very clean. We had hoped for breakfast but I guess that is not served as early as 6:45. Ignacio was not there for our stay. I have read very good reviews about his helpfulness!

Underbart litet B&B
Providencia B&B är ett underbart litet B&B med en fantastisk ägare. Ignacio får en att känna sig välkommen och är alltid redo att hjälpa till med vad som helst. B&B:t ligger i den vackra och trygga stadsdelen Providencia och har väldigt nära både shopping och restauranger. Det är också promenadavstånd till downtown och till Bella Vista. Läget är med andra ord utmärkt. Sängarna knakar lite, men det spelar mindre roll för helhetsupplevelsen är fantastisk på detta lilla charmiga ställe. Frukosten är fin och det finns vatten, kaffe och te att ta för sig av under dagen. Ignacio är en underbar person som gör att vistelsen på detta ställe får en extra guldkant.

주인은 매우 친절해서 편안했다 혼자 여행할 경우에는 오케이, 다른나라 여행 손님들이 제법 이용하고 있음 칠레 숙박시설 물가를 잘 몰라서 그런지 몰라도 가격 대비 보통수준이나 혼자 옛 추억을 생각하기에는 적당했음

Centrally located Bed and Breakfast in Santiago
Family run B&B business in Central Santiago. Close to shopping and restaurants . Very friendly and helpful staff . Rooms are small but have all the necessary facilities bathroom and shower included. Recommended for families and single travelers

A cute little place in the Big city
First of all, the host (Ignacio) is the best! He always made sure that we had something to eat every time he saw us. I felt like I stayed at my uncle house not B&B. Breakfast was pretty good (Fresh bread, ham, cheese, coffee, juice, crackers, butter, and jam). Providencia Bed and Breakfast is located in a nice and safe neighborhood in Providencia. It's close to the Manuel Montt Metro station and Bus routes. There are 2 laundry matts and a supermarket just around the conner from the B&B. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes, and beer houses in the neighborhood. We stayed here for 2 days before heading out to Easter Island then came back and stayed here again for 2 more nights. We did a lot of walking to explored the area. It's about an hour and a half walk from the B&B to Virgen Cerro San Cristobal. It's about half an hour walk to through the park to Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts, and about 15 - 20 minutes from there to Mercado Central and Plaza de Armas. Overall, we had a great time there. Nice and clean place with free breakfast and fast wifi, and an awesome host! Ignacio arranged the taxi for us to the airport for 18,000 pesos and 20,000 pesos to pick us back up from the airport which were very reasonable prices.

If you want to take a course or stay for a long time, this b and b is at excellent location and it is very good to stay. Just remember that you stay in an old house not a hotel. The staff are excellent and willing to help in any case.

excelente localização
O hotel está situado em excelente local, facilitando muito a locomoção através de transporte publico. É simples, mas com limpeza inpecável, próprio para quem faz turismo e não está preocupado com luxo.

Warm hospitality
The staff is kind, and especially the owner is so friendly and nice!! The breakfast is tasty and the coffee is really good;-) I recommend this B&B if you like the warm hospitality.

Como nossa própria casa
Ficamos neste B&B entre 12 e 17 de setembro e a estadia foi ótima! O proprietário, Ignácio, faz tudo para nos deixar bem à vontade, como se estivéssemos em casa. Ficamos em quarto com banheiro privativo. A localização é excelente, perto de tudo - metrô, restaurantes, bares - e, ao mesmo tempo, bem tranquilo e silencioso. Recomendo bastante.

Amazing service
The owners of this bed & breakfast are what make this hotel so enjoyable. They are so caring and attentive to your needs. For example, the owners went out of their way to make me lunch, since they knew that I would miss their breakfast due to an overnight flight. I absolutely loved staying in their home. My only wish would be that some of the rooms be a bit more updated. My room was very nice, but my colleagues' room felt a bit dated.

Muy buen servicio, atentos, gentiles y siempre a disposición de las necesidades de uno. A pesar de lo céntrico del sector, es muy tranquilo y silencioso. Habitación muy acogedora, limpia y ordenada. Más que recomendable.

Sentindo-se em casa em Santiago!!
Fomos ao Chile no final de julho e tivemos uma excelente experiência, não apenas pelos encantos do país, mas por nos sentirmos bem recebidos no Providencia Bed & Breakfast. Os donos, Ignacio e Yami, fizeram nos sentir em casa, e auxiliando no que fosse necessário. O hotel está bem localizado, próximo ao metrô, casas de câmbio, pontos turísticos, restaurantes e oferece um café da manhã gostoso. O quarto era bastante confortável, apesar das melhorias que precisam ser realizadas no banheiro. Seguratamente voltaríamos a nos hospedar no Providencia, o qual altamente recomendamos.
Queridos amigos, obrigado por escrever sobre nós. Com Yami continuamos a trabalhar para melhorar as nossas instalações todos os dias. E o banheiro, temos melhorado. Nós colocamos aquecimento central, secador de cabelo em todos os quartos, etc. Um grande abraço à distância

Sehr gutes B&B in zentraler Stadtteillage
Das B&B liegt ca. 300m von der nächsten Metrostation entfernt. Von dort sind es nur noch wenige Stationen in das eigentliche Zentrum von Santiago. Die größte .Stärke des B&B ist die Gastfreundlichkeit des Besitzers Ignacio. Er unterstützt einen wo immer es nur geht. Sei es die Organisation eines Skiausfluges in die Anden, Ergänzungen beim Frühstück oder bei einem angenehmen Tee am Nachmittag. Die weiteren Familienangehörigen sind ebenfalls sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sollten wir noch einmal nach Santiago kommen, so ist dieses B&B sicherlich unseere erste Wahl. Nochmals vielen Dank an Ignacio und die schönen 3 Tage in seinem Haus.

Me parecio un muy bueno B&B.
Lo contacté por Internet,solo por estar en Providencia. Ya el barrio es muy agradable, con casas todas hechas por el mismo arquitecto,con aspecto de zona residencial de los años 1930 El lugar es cómodo, familiar, sirven buen desayuno, y convidan con algo a toda hora. Habitaciones limpias,sencillas, remodeladas.
