This was my first time staying at Hilton Home2 Suite. I was pleasantly surprised!!!! Normally, Oftentimes, I stay at a traditional Hilton Suite.
The Home2 Suite was not as luxurious, but it truly had more of a home atmosphere My stay was very nice.
Room had a musty smell. The hotel was full with almost all of the parking lot full. At check out time there were no carts to take luggage. For such a large hotel I think three are not enough.
As much as I genuinely wanted to like this hotel, I have to give it a 2/5 stars. The hotel was nice and my mom enjoyed the breakfast but I was disappointed in the lack helpfulness. My car was hit while parked in the parking lot of the hotel and they weren’t able to help much. When I asked about cameras on the outside of the hotel, I was informed that there weren’t any. That was very shocking to me because most hotels do have cameras in their parking lot. This alone dampened my stay. I visit Destin once a month and this has never occurred. I was very disappointed.
Can’t say enough good about our stay ! Cynthia was the best accommodations made early while traveling with a diabetic child she made sure to extend the best care possible , getting us into a room early and refrigerating medications for my daughter . Brittany also did a fantastic job with customer service from helping us into pool area and getting extra towels ! Everyone was so helpful! The housekeeping staff were amazing and the breakfast was fantastic and maintained so well ! Can’t wait til next visit will definitely stay here again 10/10 stars for us !
We’ve stayed two times. Our issue was with the bathroom and room lighting. The bathroom lights are blaring bright! The back lit, softer glow lighting would do wonders. Breakfast was really not good. The food area is too small and crowded. This time due to spills the floor was so dirty and sticky. I had to wash the bottom of my shoes before walking in my room . Really nasty. I hope that doesn’t happen a lot!!
