"The location is stunning, and the grounds are quite beautiful nestled on the cliff, but this property seems like it's past its prime. There were construction cones or yellow tape around several areas that seemed like the work in progress had stopped. Room was relatively clean and ours had a fireplace and little back patio facing the ocean, but the furnishings were a bit old and worn. We were hesitant about the breakfast in the restaurant but it was surprisingly good. Would not recommend...

"We had a great stay at Hearst Castle Quality Inn. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location was convenient, with easy access to Hearst Castle and nearby restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was a nice way to start the day, and the overall value for the price was excellent. We'd happily stay here again when visiting the area."

"What a great and reasonably priced hotel!! Literally nothing negative to say. The staff (Jacob at the front especially) were all pleasant and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Location is great! Excited to see what else gets developed around the hotel! We’d love to come back."
