Great location, it’s the best street for pictures as the church will be in your background. The rooms are nice and the restaurant had a delicious dinner. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of 5 is because they arranged my transportation from airport which cost 1900 pesos. On the way back to the airport when I did it myself, it was only 1200 pesos. I can infer they take a cut and that’s not necessary when I’m already paying for my room.
Beautiful hotel and property. Perfectly and centrally located on a scenic street. Super helpful staff. We enjoyed our meals - loved them. Totally recommend.
El hotel es hermoso con patios y jardines del estilo colonial de San Miguel de Allende. El cuarto penguica esta pegado al restaurante entonces es poco ruidoso. La ubicacion es muy buena a dos cuadras del centro. El estacionamiento es complicado ya que no hay en el hotel, se llevan tu auto a alguno cercano por $250 la noche.

Buena ubicación, en realidad no tienen estacionamiento, la recepcionista entrego 1 habitación que no era y despues otra que tampoco era (una pero que la primera), me parece solo para afirmar que estabamos mejor en la primera habitación, cuando yo reserve y pague por una masters suite que tenia 3 camas... somos 5 y decidio cambiarnos a una de 2 camas...
Many quaint properties when we were walking around San Miguel. For us, location is what made this hotel great. Close to city center, a park nearby for kids, and close to Rosewood Hotel where we attended an event as a guest.
This hotel was beautiful old building married with lots of greenery. Food is also good. Many restaurants nearby.
This wouldn't be as modern, new, and refined like Rosewood, but is really good for the price & a good experience. Staff is friendly. If you had no budget, Rosewood would be the way to go.
Everything was so beautiful!

Rooms were not working when we arrived- toilet did not flush, there was no way to contact the front desk from the room, the TV was not working, and did not work throughout. There was confusion about whether breakfast was included or not- it was not.
The breakfast was average.
For what we paid per night, not a great value.
The hotel, with its beautiful gardens and artwork, is in a great central location in San Miguel de Allende. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent.
This is an old building with interesting rooms, ours with a balcony. Beds are comfortable and the towels and linens are fresh every day. Convenient walking to the town plaza and in the other direction to interesting city sights. This is definitely not a touristy hotel for English speakers...bring your Spanish with you!
I am extremely upset about what happened at this hotel. I booked based on the info and pictures presented on Expedia. I booked the best suite (Grand Master Suite), but the room we got looked nothing like the pictures on the website. This is downright fraud to advertise something then deliver something completely different. Bait and switch is what that is. I asked the front desk to give us the room I booked but was told the hotel was completely full. There was no way I was going to stay in a room that was worse than a 1-star motel. So I booked a different property (through Expedia) and asked them to refund me. The manager called and told me she would give me a full refund. She told me to have Expedia contact her so that she can process it. But then she changed her mind several minutes later and refused to give me a refund. This is completely unethical and unjust. We stayed there for just 14 hours and left because we didn't get the room we paid for. The right thing to do is issue me a refund for this awful experience. I'm absolutely upset and disappointed with Expedia and this hotel for causing so much stress on my vacation.
