University Inn
8/10 Good
"This place was fine. It was clean and in a good location. Easy to find. The beds were fine, not great, and pretty basic. I think for me, I don't love the motel type setup even if the place is updated and clean. Having only one window that people are walking by is a little awkward. Also, the walls seemed pretty thin, or maybe it was the connecting door (closed and locked). The person in the next room was snoring the entire night and I could hear them. Thankfully, it was a steady, not super loud snore, so it didn't keep me up, but at times in the middle of the night, the noise did startle me as it was distinct enough to hear."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Luis Obispo Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel - clean, comfortable, friendly staff. The only reservation I had was there were no outlets on the top deck to work outside. Also, there weren't any towels at the pool at 11am. However, I will surely be back. Location is great too."
Avenue Inn Downtown San Luis Obispo

"This is a simple motel or “motor inn”. Just what you need. Excellent prices. No frills. But fridge. Located within walking distance from all downtown SLO places. I ALWAYS stay here. Never disappoints!!!"
