I stayed at Hotel Calle Joaquin for a weekend where my aunt was to be married. During my stay the power had gone out and we were not notified of how long it was going to be until it turned back on. I was not able to use the shower, hot tub, pool, or ANYTHING in the room. We had to throw all food out of our refrigerator since it had gone bad. We needed to go to another family members hotel in order to get dressed for the wedding! I went to the front desk to ask what was going on and met Elex who said the manager was not here, but I could call during the week to speak to one. He had let me know that there was nothing he could to do in the meantime since he was not a manager.I had called to explain my disappointment in the service, and Elex answered the phone and said that he actually was in fact the manager! He then yelled at me that it’s not his fault and that I need to get my refund from Expedia and hung up the phone. I had tried to call several times after and was instantly hung up on. After trying to call for about 15 minutes, Elex had called ME to harass me about calling him, and told me he wouldn’t give me a refund. At no point had I asked for a refund, I wanted to have a conversation about my disappointing experience. What poor customer service! At no point was there any empathy for my experience. I wasn’t looking for a free stay, I was only looking to pay for what I was getting, which was half of a hotel stay since we had no power!
