Our check in experience was stupendous. The location of the Carlton in Atascadero is perfect for those that like to walk around and explore. The restaurants are walking distance and the free parking experience was a plus. Now the rooms were outstanding and super clean. I would recommend this hotel to any family member of close friend. Our room was lovely. They are making renovations to the hotel, but we did not hear any noise over the weekend we were there. The only "issue" we had was the room was not cleaned during our stay. We had to secure additional towels with the front desk.

Cute little hotel in a great area for going out and getting something to eat or drink! I will say you can hear the air conditioner turned on and off quite loudly throughout the night, which did continue to wake me up and while the bed is very comfortable, the bedding is extremely heavy and feels like it’s designed for somewhere very cold. Also, garbage can start getting cleaned up around 6:30 and it goes on for a good half an hour and it’s quite noisy.
