O Totem de 12 metros de altura, no cimo da praça, é uma obra do artista Porto-riquenho Jaime Suárez e é feito de granito negro e argila. Na parte baixa da praça tem uma bela fonte. The Plaza Del Quinto Centenario was built in 1992 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. The 12-meter high Totem at the top of the square is a work of Puerto Rican artist Jaime Suárez and is made of black granite and clay. In the lower part of the square there is a beautiful fountain.
