While this property is older and in need of a facelift, it is in an excellent location and the staff make up for any decorative issues. They are in the process of renovating rooms and public spaces, and the pool, while small, is clean and offers a respite from those hot San Antonio summer days. The rooms offer a microwave and fridge, and towels are replenished daily upon request.

The hotel was just very old and run down, there was a smell of sewer coming from the restroom going into the room. The staff was friendly and nice, the property just needs to be renovated.

I do not recommend this place. I never felt safe in the area. I only stayed one night because I had to. I left the day after at 5:00 am because I had a meeting, and then went back after three to cancel and they charged me. The place was dirty, smelled bad, and they charged me for three nights of parking and stay, but I only stayed one night in that place. The room was dirty, the sheets smelled bad, the toilet wouldn't flush, and there were cockroaches. It was a horrible experience to spend a night in that place.

Great place for the price

The area/location is a little sketchy, but it is what it is. The room itself is very comfortable, beds slept nicely. Cold AC. Friendly service. We only stayed our first night in here, stayed at the Hilton (also, was a great stay but muuuuuch more costly) the subsequent nights...next time, we will stay here and Uber.

We had to pay premium for the valentine's day (we flew in one day earlier due to snow storm) and it's definitely not worth the money. The room is spacious but has a weird smell. The breakfast food is horrible with a few pieces of white bread and two kinds of cereal. The service was ok and front desk person was friendly.

About the room Good clean room at decent price. Bed and bedding were comfortable and Air Conditioning was good. Bathroom amenities were clean. Check in was fast and smooth, no issues at all. Reception area had lots of brochures for visitors. Location: It is close to downtown. Overall - Fully satisfied as i got what was listed.

Highly recommend

You cant beat it for the price. Currently under new mgmt which had much kinder service than previous stays. The rooms are spacious, clean, and bed comfortable. The parking lot is well lit and fenced, and you have to get past the office first so its a little more secure than it could be. Pool was clean and decent (we didnt use it though). Cost us about $20 round trip to the riverwalk in an uber on a saturday night. My only real complaint was that we had two small pillows on a king size bed. Ive stayed ON the riverwalk (in both historic and 5 star places) and will probably never again. Its just not worth the price imo.

I’d say this is an okay place to stay if you’re only sleeping there. I’d advise to check the sheets and make sure they aren’t dirty. We requested new ones as the other ones had makeup from I’m assuming a previous stay. The bathroom door would get stuck on the top when we tried opening the door so we had to have someone push it from the other side. Location was definitely convenient though.

Could improve

Staff was nice and very helpfull, but the amount of guest smoking illegal substances was a bit much. Smell was so strong and just to close to rooms. Maybe if they had a designated smoking area.
