"Staff very attentive "

"I brilliant location most of the sights to see are in walking distance, gorgeous decor throughout the hotel but the odd thing could do with touching up but only if I’m being really fussy. Would definitely go back again. "

"A delightful place to stay in a great location with lovely hosts. A short 10-15 minute walk and you're in middle of town with all the sights. Breakfast consists of lots of fresh homemade options that are top notch. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with refreshments and amazing smelling toiletries. Would love to stay again. Look no further, this is the one you should book. "

"This were lovely rooms (we booked two, as there was a group of four of us) and they were identical, except one had a shower, the other a bath. They were spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfy. Staff were very helpful, it is worth noting they don't serve food on Sundays but we were guided to a local pub within five minutes walk as an alternative. "

"The hotel was very clean room was great had a little balcony and view of the river. Nothing was any bother we asked for extra coffee sachets and were given them we didn’t have breakfast room only but plenty of places near to eat out We will be back"

"Loved the room (#6). Very comfortable. Staff lovely. But promo photo doesn’t represent truly the access to its frontage which is via a dark jigger from the main high street. It’s also tricky to find the entry point off the main road - but you get there in the end!"

"Lovely, helpful people! The beds were so comfortable with amazing soft sheets. Breakfast was very hearty that one didnt ned lunch. It is above a pub but you couldnt hear the noise below. Karaoke night was so much fun. Very close to everything without being in the center. 10min walk to the train station. 2 min to york minister, the wall and hop on hop off buses. Highly recommend!"
