"Nothing good to say"

"The hotel is visibly run down from the outside. The room we stayed in was hot, humid and crammed with an extra bed. The air conditioning was on a timer and it turned off automaticaĺy during the night or day. The carpet was dirty. The bathroom had a moldy ceiling. The staff at the front desk mostly ignored us, no greeting. On our first day of our stay we experienced a water leak in the ceiling of the dining room. The breakfast was mediocre. We will never stay in this hotel again."

"Lovely hotel but has seen better days. In need of refurbishment. The A/C in our room was very weak & the shower was broken. The room was really spacious & very comfortable bed. Unfortunately our room overlooked the railway line which obviously increased the noise levels. The staff were very friendly & competent. The pool area wasn't particularly clean & the men's steam room wasn't working."

"There is a bus shuttle to/from Gatwick airport. If you have time to wait, 5 pounds vs 24 pounds taxi or Uber."

"Absolute treasure. Went for a retreat to get some work done. It could not have been more perfect. Staff super respectful and approachable. Room was spacious, clean and sound proof. Breakfast was excellent....loved the banana and peanut smoothie. what a combo. And after a hard day's work, it was relaxing in the sauna/steam room& jaccuzzi. Planning on bringing a team of people for group bonding sessions.....with the vast green lands and lots of conference rooms and break out open...

"The central forced-air heating had been turned off throughout the hotel after a recent heat wave. When we checked in it was 13°C outside and the room heat would not turn on. The Duty manager was unable to turn it on after five phone call attempts, requiring 20 mins wait each, allthis lasted until past 2AM, and waked-up by this manager calling to see if it was working yet. It was not, it was blowing colder air in to our room. He tried to move us to another room and same issue there, after 30mins...

"We stayed at Salomons Estate as a group of 12 people. The grounds are lovely, and the facilities are well looked after considering the age and character of the property. The staff were really helpful throughout our stay. Everything was clean, and both the bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size. Although the rooms are a little outdated, the bedding was very comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay overall."

"The manor house and estate was spectacular. We were a little disappointed in that we booked to stay in this wonderful manor, but upon arrival we were told that our room was located in a small house on the property about 400yards from the manor house by the entrance gate. It was referred to at the "lodge" Reception staff were efficient, but not exactly friendly. The breakfast was exceptional."

"- Room not that clean, baby found loads of hairs and things. - post-booking I got loads of repetitive spam messages to check in online days before arrival. - Facilities have restricted use, e.g. no children at pool 10am-6pm! The only reason we stayed there was so the wife can rest at the pool with the baby. - Restaurant food was pub quality but Michelin price. - "Entry" to breakfast ends at 9:30 not 10 as advertised. "Entry" to pool area ends 8pm when advertised hours are until 9pm, staff tey...
