"Our stay at Casa de Casal de Loivos exceeded our expectations. The Douro Valley views are breathtaking, especially from the terrace right outside our door while enjoying a glass of Portuguese wine. We enjoyed delicious, authentic Portuguese dinners both evenings, served family-style around a communal table with eight other guests. Sharing wonderful food, wine, and conversation with travellers from around the world made for a truly memorable dining experience. Bernardo and Paulo’s excellent wine...

"This property is absolutely stunning! The entire staff is so kind and helpful. The food was amazing! We stayed for 2 nights and did not leave the property. The Farm to Table dinner is a must!"

"Good place to relax by the pool. Great dinner and very quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful- especially Nada."

"It’s a wonderful place to stay. It feels like staying in a very comfortable home, and that’s what it is. Stylish, old-fashioned with lovely sitting room and dining room. The gardens and vineyards are a delight and it’s a very happy and personal place to stay."
