Did not like the way beverages were brought to the table - a tea bag in a cup of hot water. A teapot would be much better - they’re used during evening meal service but “not allowed” during breakfast! Excellent evening meals."

"This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay ."

"Although there was an issue with my booking on arrival (I had a confirmation but it hadn’t been received by the hotel), they were great about it and didn’t hesitate to get me a room organised. I was a late arrival and the kitchen had closed but again the team sorted me something to eat. The room was great and breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommended!"

"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"

"We arrived quite late, having travelled up after a long week of hard work. Although we missed the opportunity to eat, we had a drink and retired to our room. Walked through a very pleasant looking outdoor seating with well landscaped gardens and ambient lighting, Even by the entrance to the block where our room was, there was a couple of chairs and we did have a sit for a while, as it was a very warm evening. Our 'Superior King' room was a very nice surprise, most don't live up to the...
