"Very convenient location to rye town. Hotel was clean, staff were great…. Very friendly and helpful. Room was light and airy with comfy twin beds and plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Large on site free parking. Very good breakfast. We didn’t have a drink at the bar so can’t comment but it looked like it’d be well stocked."

"We have just had a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. The only thing we can say about it as everything was first class but we really didn't like the idea of having to pay extra for fried eggs etc. at breakfast. This may seem trivial but to us it was important. "

"The shower was nice and powerful. The room was clean. I always wipe down the TV remote wherever I stay. The antibac wipe was clear after giving the remote the once over. Breakfast was good and is better value if you pay at the hotel. "

"Lovely little hotel. Staff were helpful, kind and considerate. The hotel is in a great location for walking around Rye and the car park was easily accessible, albeit £10.30 a day quite expensive. We stayed in room 7, large and comfortable with a large en-suite. Although needed updating, along with the communal areas which could do with a lick of paint and new carpet. Overall a good hotel with a great breakfast."

"Tried a few hotels in Eastbourne but The View is the best. Great service friendly staff. Breakfast staff are lovely. As is the breakfast. Good gym. I do think the bar menu needs reviewing. The restaurant isn’t always open either. But nice restaurants around. "
