"We had a wonderful stay at Pines Motel in Cottage #6. It was exactly what we were looking for and made a great home base for exploring PEI. The location was perfect, with easy access to everywhere we wanted to visit, and the beautiful view and quiet surroundings made it even more enjoyable. The cottages are a little dated, but that's part of their charm. They have that classic cottage feel that we really appreciated. The room itself was basic roadside motel style however it was damp with a strong musty smell. We assumed that this may be because the room might not been previously occupied however this did not resolve during the three days we stayed there and we had the air conditioner on the entire time. I was expecting more from a 4.5 star property and the price...

"So hotel is beautiful, view is beautiful, BUT do NOT set foot outside unless you like getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Basically the hotel is built on a bog. Ideal environment for mosquitoes. I never would have booked, had I known. Not at all what I was expecting."

"The Dutch Inn is an older property but it is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The carpets have been removed and the floors were very clean. I went barefoot in the tile bathroom and was comfortable doing that. To me, cleanliness and comfy bed are more important than shiny updated fixtures. The pool was closed for repairs but we weren't planning to swim anyway. Each room has a mini-split heat pump so it's easy to regulate the temperature to your liking. I'd recommend the Dutch Inn if...

"Property is not like the picture. It's smelly and old, un-maintained. Front desk lady hardly speaks English. We had bugs in our room. Breakfast was runny scrambled eggs, under-cooked mystery meat and potatoes. Stayed 2 nights - really wanted to cancel second night but would have lost our money. Just a regrettable experience. The property needs so much work...some cleaning wouldn't hurt. Carpets were stained and smelly...really bothered my breathing. All I can say is find somewhere else to stay....

"Great location and very clean. Breakfast was good too so great value for your money. Beware that they do not provide all the kitchen utensils. We really wanted to use the fully functional oven and stove top for a pot and had bought some groceries before checking in and didn't realize they don't provide kitchen ware. They did give us 4 plates, 4 forks, spoons, knives, 4 mugs, 1 small pan that can cook 2 eggs ( not adequate for a family of 4), 1 serving spoon and 1 flipper. Just good to know...
