Tunbridge Wells Hotel

Really lovely stay at the Tunbridge Wells Hotel - location is perfect for dining and shopping and a pay car park just around the corner is very useful - would definitely stay here again

Lovely location in the historic part of Royal Tunbridge Wells known as The Pantiles. Lovely furniture in the room, equipped with tea and coffee facilities. However the nespresso machine, telephone and bed end boards were covered in dust.

Good location

The staff were great, the restaurant and food was good, the hotel is a little tired, my first room was unbearably hot and noisy being on a main road, but they kindly changed me to a different room with aircon, but I had to leave unexpectedly at 05.30 this morning due to an emergency at home and it was really difficult to exit the hotel because the door release button wouldn't work initially! But all ok in the end

The hotel was very good, food excellent as were the very friendly and efficient staff. However we were located on the 4th floor which was a bit of a struggle with luggage and if you have mobility issues.

Lovely, characterful hotel. Stayed in the single room and it was great - had everything needed. It was very hot in the room, but imagine that'll be nice in winter. There are lots of narrow stairs, which makes walking with a suitcase difficult, but the staff member on check-in did offer to carry my luggage to my room. I look forward to staying again.

Not disgusted in Tunbridge Wells

Standing in the beautiful Pantiles the Tunbridge Wells Hotel has changed beyond recognition since I drank there when it was The Swan back in the day. Fantastic staff and whilst my single room was small it had everything I needed. 5 minute walk from the station it’s a perfect place to stay when exploring TW

Quaint and querky. A maze of staircases to get to higher numbered rooms. Interesting. Website could benefit from including breakfast and parking options. Single room a tad cramped but warm and the window could be opened. Staff very accommodating and decor creative, appealed to me.

The Pantiles is lovely. The hotel itself is fine -clean, helpful staff etc just very expensive for what it is. It’s marketed as an upmarket hotel which it isn’t really. It’s fine but there are much nicer hotels in TW for similar or cheaper prices

Nice but wont stay again... would eat there again!

Lovely location for a stay in Royal Tunbridge Wells. We were on the top floor, 5 levels of very narrow and winding stairs, no lift. It was manageable but a little annoying. Staff were friendly. The room is quite small but sufficient. It was cold with a draft from the windows, often rattling in the wind. We also discovered a very large wet patch in the wall and floor in one corner, which we did mention upon check out. This is a major issue that needs addressing. We received an apology but nothing else. Be aware, parking is provided by crossing over a busy road. Also, charged at £10 per day! We ate in the restaurant and I can only provide compliments. The food was fantastic, perfectly served and cooked.

Absolutely awful. The room was smaller than my box room, tiny! The bathroom had no door, no breakfast available and the evening meal was a microwave meal. Absolute disgrace.

A great hotel in the bustling Pantiles area

The hotel is on the main street accessed via a side alley with steps and parking is available across the road. A warm welcome on arrival. We had room 20 which was spacious and had a view onto the bustling Pantiles street area of TW. If you are like us a couple staying overnight for a nice dinner and a few drinks, this is actually a perfect place to stay. On the Sunday morning because we were up early, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel which is à la carte and I must say the coffee was of an excellent standard, akin with Black Sheep, so well done on that front. My partner’s sausage on sourdough was lovely and I had a light Toast/preserves which was also lovely. Service was understated but good. No air con but the fan was surprisingly effective. Enjoyed the stay.
