"We stayed for 3 nights in the Hetton bedroom. Very clean, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Just the pillows that I didn’t get on with. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice both hot and cold. On two of our three evenings we ate in the inn and the food was great, cannot fault any of it. Lovely, friendly staff. Great position for travelling to all the sights in Northumberland. "A lovely rural setting, 20 minute walk from Bamburgh, 5 minutes in the car. Plenty of parking, although the ‘10 steps to door’ wasn’t quite accurate. Yes for unloading & loading, but the parking area was a little further. The Hayloft was very well equipped and comfortable although the dining chairs had seen better days - cushions on the seats solved that. Lovely to have the hot tub available after a couple of boat trips in inclement weather. Unfortunately we didn’t get the opportunity to play table tennis or make use of the pods, but great facilities to have on site. It would have been helpful for the ‘resort’ name of Bamburgh First be somewhere on the paperwork - 2 Dukesfield Cottages is nowhere to be found!"
