"Hotel staff amazing…the hotel it self though needs work it’s just time to update"

"Upon check-in, Michele was very friendly. It was my first experience staying at a WoodSpring and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the property was. I was staying in town for a church conference and the location was just what I needed I will be staying there next year for conference as well."

"There was something in the bathtub, also the bathtub floor was damaged. The sink area needs to be replaced, and there was a moldy residue around the brim. Lastly, I was greeted by ants. I asked for a new room which the attendant promptly changed. The new room had a cracked bathtub floor, and I used a wash cloth to wipe the brim of the sink, and when I began to rinse, black particles kept appearing -the more I rinsed, the more particles appeared."

"Felt safe the entire time….rooms very clean, staff all very friendly, breakfast was superb, pool and fitness room was really nice. If we ever get this way again we will definitely stay again. "

"This hotel was a last minute choice. Let's start with a postive. Linens were clean and no bed bugs. Also, the carpet wasn't sticky when i took my shoes off to get into bed. Now to the rest. When you walk in it smells like grease. Like kitchen grease. The bar sign says it opens at 11am but it doesnt open till 5pm. No, I'm not trying to be at the bar at 11am but I enjoy having that chill atmosphere after the 3pm check in. This is not the place that will ever happen (we did end up going) 2nd, the room, the room had a moldy smell when we walked in. The ac unit was on 75 so we turned it to 65. Not because we like it cold but it helped refresh the musty smell. Yes, they have done a remodel, but it is the typical remodel of an old property. Basically, slap some paint on a pig. I could go in to more detail but basically to sum it up.. this is a place that locals rent a room to use the indoor pool. Have bday parties here. One cool thing is the fact they have a game room. There were parties happening in several rooms Definitely some "smoking" in rooms. Kids running/racing up and down the halls all night. Lastly, you will get lost at this place. Very poor signage unless you are trying to get to the 1st floor via the stairs. The 2nd floor is the main floor. I will never stay here again, just the pungent smell from the Indian restaurant located in there, and the greasy food smell from the bar food menu with a topping of the old hotel musty smell going on."

"My first time at the swift water and I was really impressed just approximately two hours away from New York City and it feels like you’re almost in another country very luxury very clean heated pools. Great customer service no hidden fees restaurant inside of the hotel is absolutely amazing including the food breakfast and dinner and the cocktails not watered down. I would definitely recommend for a couples getaway or small staycation for you and friends wonderful experience. I can’t stop bragging about it if you want to feel luxury in the Poconos this is the place to stay!"
