Hampton Inn Sturbridge

"This location was excellent and the next time we come through, we will be staying at this facility. The Publix house Inn has a great restaurant that we went to by the suggestion of the front desk clerk at the Hampton Inn and they actually had a buy one get one entrée, free coupon. They gave us options on where we would have liked to have our room with her on the first or the second floor. All around excellent value and very well maintained. Also, I went and got a coffee in the morning and unfortunately knocked the cup so that coffee spilled all over the place. One of the ladies from housekeeping held my arm back and said nope I have this. Don’t worry and she cleaned it up. I didn’t even know she was from housekeeping and she didn’t have to do that but she was really nice and that was very thoughtful of her."

"When traveling to and from NJ I always like to stay at the Scottish Inn in Sturbridge, MA. The staff is so nice, I always get a good nights sleep and there are restaurants within walking distance as well as a grocery store. Clean rooms, quiet, easy parking and a great cost."

"Overall, this is hotel is an exceptional value. The property is well cared for and the room was clean and surprisingly large. The gentleman who checked me and who I also spoke with the morning I checked out was very helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in was in the back of the property which was great because it was not on the main road, rather a very quiet residential street that parallels the main road. The days I stayed, the hotel seemed to be mostly empty, with no more than 2-3 other rooms occupied so there was zero noise from other guests too. Overall the area seems to be very safe. However, the reason I took off a star are safety related. I am a woman and was traveling alone for work. I didn't realize when I made the reservation this was a motel style place with each room having its own door to the outside. I don't believe this was misrepresented, I'm sure it was my miss. The door did not have a second latch at the top like most hotel rooms do and it had 3 windows, all of which opened and none of them were locked when I first checked in. When I first arrived, it was dark and none of the outside lights were on yet. I had to use my car headlights to find my room. The lights came on shortly after so I think it was just a matter of adjusting the timer as the days grow shorter. I would stay here in the future only if traveling with my husband."

"Room was clean. The room was quiet. Ample lighting and room. Bedding was soft. Bed and pillows were amazing! Breakfast was very good with a lot of selections. Air conditioner was quiet, but did not really cool the room to the selected temp. There is a Penara Bread across the parking lot which we found very convenient. Water pressure was very low in the shower."
