The hotel inside needs updating screams for a makeover , it’s smelly : like damp / mould the carpets are old and dirty but the decor is nice and has the potential to be massively improved , the outside is not reflected inside like they are 2 different properties . Staff all nice and friendly , pool could do with some loungers as there are only 4 to be shared by all families how ? Also the amount of chemicals used in the pool area made our eyes sting and was...

"Great town to base yourself we stayed there for 8 years so we know this . The guest house is beautiful back from the road so very peaceful. The hosts are so lovely and welcoming. The room we had was a small double and it was immaculate,clean and had everything you need . Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty to eat . You won’t be disappointed "

"Rooms and inn itself were great. Service at dinner was extremely slow to the point where we had to flag down a different staff member every time we needed something basic like getting water, ordering dessert, or even paying our bill. The restaurant also had the most uncomfortable restaurant chairs ever. Definitely not what we were hoping for after a long hard day of hiking up and down Conic Hill. It literally hurt more to sit than stand"

"This was a very cute little inn above the pub! That definitely gave the stay character, unfortunately it meant the noise could be heard from the pub below. This really wasn't a major problem though, as around 10:00 pm it was all but quite. The property is very convenient and right in the down town! The staff were fantastic! Very helpful and made us feel welcomed!"

"Spent the weekend here as a group for my sisters hen weekend. The photographs don’t do the facility justice. The house was amazing with so much character!! The staircase, aga and fire were fantastic!! Set in such a peaceful space with excellent grounds for kids and big ‘kids’ to play games. Plenty of space and rooms were an amazing size and comfortable! Would def book again for a large group activity weekend!! "

"Beautiful cottage for 7 nights, everything provided in the fully furnished cottage. Allowed a later check out due to no afternoon bookings without having to request. Would highly recommend & would stay again next time I’m in the area. "
