The hotel is really old and run down, everything is falling apart and not being repaired or replaced. The location is right next to auto dealerships and auto shops. "This hotel was such a gem for our final night in Costa Rica. The restaurant served delicious and fresh food (veggies were from their garden). The staff was very attentive and the shuttle to the airport left promptly in the morning. We'll definitely be coming back on our next trip."

"I got a single at Garden House and paid for the pick-up service from the airport. As a solo female traveler, I was nervous about staying here by myself, but everything was great! Gerardo picked me up right on time, safely drove me to the property, and showed me around the house. The managers kindly shared go-to spots around San Jose and nearby areas. "This was our first time traveling to Costa Rica and I’m glad we chose this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. AC worked well! Parking is in front of the hotel. We paid extra for the breakfast and it was delicious. We were also able to exchange a small amount cash USD at the front desk which was convenient. There are a few restaurants walking distance away that were also wonderful!"

"They just finished painting the pool edge...looks great. This is our 3 year at the Trapp Family Inn. The only thing that was different was it was warmer than usually in San Jose than in previous years. The rooms were definitely warmer, but we were glad we had ceiling fans.
