We stayed here because it is close to Richmond town hall where we attended a weekend conference. This old house is well maintained and comfortable. Service was excellent.
Stayed in Abel Tasman room - well appointed, clean, light and spacious plus unlimited tea and homemade cookies. A very friendly well run B&B on busy road but great breakfast, good run out of town and close to Nelson and Kaiteriteri / Abel Tasman Nat'l Park. Phill the host kindly picked us up after trek and boat ride and delvered us to airport!
I was made very welcome and relaxed straight away Beautiful old building in immaculate condition ,cooked breakfast was substantial and delicious ,and easy 2 minute walk to shops and restaurants
Everything was great. Phill our host was very obliging, nothing was too much trouble. He's a great cook too, yummy breakfasts and homemade bikkies to enjoy with a cuppa.
We stayed one night after walking the Abel Tasman Track- it was a lovely place to stay. Large comfortable bedroom elegantly decorated. Great breakfast. Phill was very welcoming and helpful. He drove us to the airport.
I did a day trip out to Able Tasman National Park during my stay based on recommendation from Phil (your host while at the guesthouse). Short walk to some great restaurants and bars.
Delightful hosts. We were only there one night, but they will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Excellent breakfast. Can't wait to see the video.
The outstanding feature of our stay at this boutique B and B was most defiantly the hosts Peter and Jill , Peters information about the region made for us a wonderful end to our stay on the South Island . The breakfast prepared by Jill was wonderful and the house itself is a beautiful period property. We would absolutely recommend this for a stay in Richmond Nelson
A friend and I stayed at the Kershaw house for 2 nights in early November 2012. The owners, Jill and Pete are not only very hospitable, but helpful as well. Pete recommended excellent sites to visit, and wonderful boutique vineyards in the area.
Jill's muesli is not to be missed; especially on top of her yoghurt with passion fruit! You will not want to skip breakfast while staying.
The home has a large Dining area, Sitting room, and Living room downstairs, complete with a computer for your use, a library, and a warm fireplace. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque.
The only issue we had was finding it (in the early evening). It is located in Richmond, not Nelson as Expedia suggests. However, the location is great as it is central to many tourist areas both north and south.
I highly recommend staying here. Of the 5 places we stayed in New Zealand, this was the highlight.
