"We spent 4 nights in Porto at 1827 River House and during our stay we met most of the team who make this boutique B&B so special. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble, from arranging the transfer from the airport, lending us a USB adaptor and providing helpful hints on where to eat and what to see. We had a river view room on the 4th floor and the room was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. Location-wise it couldn't be better as you are literally a stone's throw...

"Gorgeous view of the Ribeira from our room in this well located guest house. The room was tiny but comfortable for a couple having a short stay. We enjoyed the close proximity of some of Porto and Gaia’s best restaurants and destinations. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was abundant and delicious."

"Loved the location at the Rio Douro! Lots of options for drinks/dining, shopping and walking thru the neighborhoods of the city. The hotel was nice with sitting areas to meet with others in our group and the staff was very friendly and polite. I would definitely stay there again."

"This property was really clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful. They book both a transfer from the train to the hotel and a wine tour for us. Both went smooth and were good. Had water in the room and complimentary wine. The AC was a little weak but could still feel it."

"I would have given them a five but the picture showed a riverfront room and actually it was a street front room.. The streets are very narrow and loud.. We were not in the room very much other than to sleep so we made the best of it.. no elevator but they do have a lift for luggage which was nice.. The location was perfect right in the historic district, a half of block from the River the duro River.. another reason I did not give a five star was the Wi-Fi was not working in the TV was a archaic...

"Beautiful place. Clean and well equipped. Views of river and Gaia are incredible. However, there are many steep and tiny steps to climb to get to it, tough with luggage. Balcony is too tight to sit 2. Maybe one tiny person.
If you want to be on the river, this is a lovely spot."

"Traumhafter Blick auf den Rio Douro. Im Vorfeld eine präzise und sehr gute Beschreibung der Schlüsselübergabe, da wir erst sehr spät abends ankamen. Das Appartement ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt !

"A dream stay! Cute, petite, luxury boutique hotel w/ a restaurant next door. Check-in was a breeze & the staff super helpful! The place was immaculate & the room simple but eloquent. "Beautiful boutique hotel tucked away, 2 minutes walk from the river. Front desk staff were amazing, professional and friendly - always willing to answer questions and offer advice to make our trip more special. Breakfast was fabulous and quiet. Great selection of both continental and hot foods and the fresh omelettes were so tasty!! A lovely way to start the day!
Location perfect for exploring the entire city. Also close (less than 5 minutes walk) to a small supermarket for bottled water.
