"Our stay for our family of 4 at Aninga Lodge was fantastic. The room was clean and convenient. We spent a lot of time at the pool with the kids, they loved it, especially when the monkeys and toucans were hanging out in the trees. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only downside we found was the transportation between the hotel and Tortuguero town. There is a boat provided for the hotel every few hours, but it isn't often enough to be convenient. "The property is starting to show its age and the damp environment is taking a bit of a toll. There could have been more food choices. The walkways around the property are fabulous."

"Pour une fois l'appellation "Beach Front" est totalement justifiée. La terrasse en hauteur est à 20m de la plage avec accès direct de la chambre. Du fond du hamac, bercé par la rumeur du ressac on se sent le roi du monde. Grande chambre avec des matelas tout à fait convenable. J'ajoute un accueil souriant et très attentif. L'ensemble reste un peu rustique mais pour moi les 5 étoiles sont bien méritées."

"AC was excellent and much needed in hot, humid climate. Awesome view. Family room was excellent for cost value. Unfortunately, new obnoxious bar next door plays terrible music late into the night. Not the fault of the guesthouse and maybe not an issue mid week. "

"turtles were amazing and a great experience overall! had no hot water. I understand there is no electricity but why not put a barrel on top of the building and paint it black? Also had no choice when to leave the place but with a 10am boat which was early given the overnight search for turtles, would have been nice to stay longer, the place is nice and peaceful."

"Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty. Nice hammocks to relax in. The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us"

"Casa Marbella is a great place to stay. It's centrally located, has scenic views of the cannal and is close to the national park. The upstairs bedrooms on the cannal side are the best rooms."
