"Positive: The family running the hotel is very sweet and kind. It’s also located close to the beach where you can watch Turtles, so that’s a plus. Negative: Unfortunately our room was very dirty. It looked like it wasn’t cleaned at all after the previous guests left. Many, many hair on the bed, pillow and ground. "I can’t believe the number of problems we had with this hotel. We’ve travelled to 77 countries and this stay was one of the top disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had given the expectations of a five star hotel. If rated as a three star it would be been a disappointment but not intolerable such as it was."

"The property is located quite far from the main road and I'll be honest, the access road isn't great. But that being said, once you get there, you don't want to leave. The rooms are big and very spacious. We booked the family triple room and it was huge and very comfortable. Pool was clean and inviting. You can use the kayaks at any time and go onto the lagoon. "Lovely hotel was being repainted as we stayed just out of season. The pool and restaurant were great and the staff were very helpful. Be aware the hotel is a little remote from anything else out of season and there no real entertainment around out of season, however the area looks like it would be lively in the season but please note the hotel is still a fair walk to the next bar or hotel and 20 mins to the main strip so tuk tuk will be required "

First of all there was no booking when we arrived and when it was eventually sorted it was made clear the management thought we had not paid enough through the booking agent we had used. "This hotel has basic amenities and it's proximity to the beach is wonderful. The service is exceptional and the people who work there are so wonderful. This is not a luxurious hotel by any means, but would I stay here again, yes I would. Basic comforts were provided, including a mosquito net over the bed and a mosquito repellant plug in (much needed for the third friend who didn't have a mosquito net over her single bed). We were upgraded to an ocean view room on a top floor (lots of stairs), so we spent the majority of the day at their beachside cafe called Happy Lab. We came in April, so waves a little high but we managed to enjoy our time in the water. We took a stroll in the evening to check out other nearby beachside restaurants and settled on dinner at The Twins. Everyone was accommodating and we had a lovely time."

"Great property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. Great place if you are looking for something that not in overcrowded part of Sri Lanka "
