"Exceeded expectations "

"Quirky but good. There was no carpeting in the room and no carpeting means no sound insulation, so we could hear EVERYTHING in rooms above and below us. The mattresses were older inner springs so they were a little creeky but okay. Overall, it was a decent stay, very nice area and close to restaurants and shopping. "

"I chose the Hive House because it was great value for money. There were many good things about this hotel. Even though there is no reception the entry and exit to hotel and rooms were very easy with a code. The hotel is very clean and with new amenities. Kitchen had full size fridge and all the appliances and cutlery. Perfect for a couple or family with a kid. The only issue was the toilet door. It is a sliding door which has about an inch open even when closed. So if you are not comfortable with that kind of toilet arrangement you may not like it. Otherwise another positive aspect was covered parking that was free. Overall still a great place to stay at a great location."

"The staff was very helpful , given that the rowing teams from stanford and virginia were there in several weddings and bar mitzvahs. Breakfast in the morning was good and the staff serving yet were very friendly and helpful"

"The staff was great the hotel was clean My biggest concern was the beds were really uncomfortable They squeaked a lot every time you tossed and turn the beds made loud noises"
