"gym was good, enough for a hotel"

"Stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke on Trent and couldn’t fault it. Check-in was spot on—friendly, genuine, and brilliant with our kids (colouring pack + cookies went down a treat). Room was spacious with sofa beds already set up, which made life easy straight away. Breakfast was excellent—loads of choice and constantly topped up. Just book ahead as it gets busy. Great for families. Would definitely stay again."

"Conveniently located in the centre of Sanbach with easy access to shops etc. A large free car park and EV charging were a pleasant bonus. The breakfast was weighted towards hot cooked food and the cold buffet poor, it needs more fruit, yogurt, croissants and more interesting breads."

"As usual The Bears Paw didn’t disappoint. Lovely staff, food and drink. The only down side this time as we stayed in a standard room was, it could do with a face lift. "

"The bathroom was dirty, the toilet seat wasn't on straight. Blood on the bed sheet. Staff were not interested and unhelpful. We had to pay to park at the hotel when we arrived. We thought we would try to spa and we also had to pay for that. We asked for towels in the spa and the staff just shrugged and said there wasn't any. The changing rooms were dirty and no lockers to put valuables. The steam room was set at the temperature of the sun and the sauna wasn't on "

"Extremely comfortable beds and quiet surroundings with lots of free parking. Pool and spa facilities excellent (but could do with better signs/directions) and very welcome. WiFi is good. Room TVs are very basic and my room seemed to have a fault in the light switches. A little further out from Macclesfield than I was expecting but these are minor niggles. Otherwise, excellent value."

"This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay."

"We stayed in the shepherds hut with the dog and it was fantastic we was in the area for a walking weekend had food in the plough and it was amazing. We will be back John, Jenni and kova the Labrador "

"Positives - beautiful hotel in great grounds. Had tea in the restaurant which was very good. Bed was huge. Negatives - couldn't get bath to work and my wife was kept awake during the night by noise in room next door. Use of the spa was £20 per person (which I was willing to pay) but was then told we couldn't use it until 5pm. We'd arrived at 3pm with plan to go in spa before our friends arrived later. "

"We paid for an upgrade but it was a fairly standard room with a view of the car park. Having said that, the staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, bed comfortable and an excellent power shower. Buffet style breakfast was delicious with additional items freshly prepared if requested. I would happily stay again."
