"The hotel was what I expected for the price. No disappointments there. The bar, on the other hand was a totally different story. I was there with three other couples for a medical school graduation for two of our children. My wife’s ex-husband and wife made it to the bar and so did the brides family. The bartender would not let me open a tab for me and my wife and said they could only accommodate two tabs per table. I wasn’t even sitting at an adjacent table. I went to the bar and she acted like it would be a problem for me to pay cash there. She asked if I wanted a glass or the bottle for the beer and I said a glass so she handed me the bottle of beer and the glass. I took my wife drink and my glass and beer to the table when I poured the beer in my glass she came by about three minutes later gave me a mean look and just took the empty bottle. Complain to the manager on duty and she never really even apologized. I know this could sound like sour grapes, but it’s not. It was already an awkward situation for me and there was no way I was going to ask my wife’s ex-husband or the parents of the bride to pay for my drinks. The manager told me I should’ve done that and then just Venmo them the money. I work in customer service and this is so extremelyUnacceptable."

"I'm 54 years old and have stayed in many hotels in that time. This was one of the worst. The room was non smoking and smelled of smoke and other odors I could not identify. The cabinets in the room were old and falling apart. Windows were smuged with stains like a child finger painted with snotty hands. The room next to us had a metal chair set up outside his door, with alcohol and a makeshift ash tray. The "bed" was hard and towels were thin. No hangers in the closet or iron. The only good thing about this place is is inexpensive."

"You will not regret staying here. I was amazed with how beautiful the B&B was as well as the impeccable customer service by the owners. 100% recommend to stay here if you are deciding where to stay in Opelika. Also, the owner makes breakfast and it is delicious and complimentary with your stay."
