อุทยานแห่งชาติ Qumran

This is the place where the Dead Sea scrolls where discovered in Israel. A young Shepard throwing a stone at a goat heard it crash against pottery and discovered the scrolls in caves in the mountains. The visit was rather disappointing: you can’t go to the caves and you are limited to see the ruins of some early Christian sect and a small museum. While learning about the sect was interesting, my imagination surrounding the Dead Sea scrolls had expected something else from Qumran.

If you've never ridden a camel, you need to do it at least once. Of course, these short rides don't begin to compare to the ones at the Giza Plateau in Egypt.
