A nice, lovely simple place to stay in a great location. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. The airport transfer and laundry were reasonably priced and the included breakfast was good. There aren’t a lot of amenities but it’s a beautiful space, a great budget stay.

Superior staff. Room was a bargain and worth what I paid for it. Breakfast was good but a bit limited for a gf diet. Convenient location to explore the historic center. Just know it’s not a safe area at night. I had no issues as a solo woman during the day.

Hate to leave this review but...

Let me preface by saying that the staff of the hotel was just excellent. They were well aware of the unfortunate situation in the country and I really felt safe and cared about in their hands. The only reason for low score is the private bathroom in my room reeked. And for some reason they have those "closet blind" doors, which basically stank up my whole room and the situation didn't improve throughout my stay. Also, the next door guest was a complete moron... blasting radio from 5 AM every morning but that's NOT on the hotel.

WiFi was decent but did break up sometimes. Friendly staff but often didn’t have information such as once I asked about laundry and the staff wasn’t sure and didn’t try to help and find out. It’s a budget hostel, good value for the money in the city historic center. You can walk alone at night u til about 830-9pm. Uber is plentiful. Decent traditional restaurants around within walking distance. Hostel is quiet except for the construction - so be mindful if you take naps or sleep in behind 8am. There is no refrigerator to store food and the staff wasn’t helpful about it. Bathrooms are small but completely updated. Hot water is warmer but not super hot. Pressure is good. No elevator. Narrow stairs. Extra blankets available if you need it.

The property feels very secure and safe. The location is very convenient. Rooms are cleaned daily and the property is very clean as well. The staff are very friendly and very helpful specially Raul who works at the front desk, Christian and Jesus. The free breakfast is delicious. The stairs leading to my 3rd floor room are a little bit steep. You just have to be extra careful.

Rincon Family was a complete disappointment. I strongly recommend visiting the property before booking, as the photos shown on Expedia did not accurately represent the actual condition and felt extremely misleading. The front desk staff was courteous, but once we entered the rooms, the problems became obvious. One room had a strong sewer-like smell, very dim lighting, and did not feel clean. The second room appeared to have an unfinished or poorly executed bathroom remodel. The toilet and shower overflowed, leaving water on the bathroom floor. We booked two nights for a family of six, including two adults over 60, a 10 yo, and a 3-year-old. Given the condition of the rooms, we did not feel comfortable or safe staying another night. We contacted Expedia to cancel the second night and were told the hotel could not process. We were offered a credit of less than 50% of the nightly rate. We ultimately left and forfeited the second night we had already paid for. We explained our concerns and hoped the hotel would at least consider covering the parking cost, but management refused. Most disappointing was the lack of effort from “ownership” to address the situation. Only after seeing our bags packed in the car and hearing that I would leave a negative review did the owner offer another room. By then, our family had already lost confidence in the property and was leaving. Expedia should review this property and verify that its photos and description accurately show accommodations.
