It was close to everything such as dining, bars, tour agencies and transportation. Its is modern and well staffed with knowledgeable, helpful and friendly people. The breakfast was good.

Ótima localização

Excelente localização, Plaza Foch um dos pontos turísticos de Quito. Com fácil acesso a compra dos passeios e ônibus city tour. Hotel bom, apenas muito escuro no banheiro, dificultando banho à noite. Café da manhã bem fraco, quase nada de opções, é feito em um bar ao lado do hotel.

El hotel agradable los alrededores no tanto

EL hotel no tiene grandes lujos, comodo y agradable, la zona a pesar de ser muy "famosa" no es la mejor, por la noche se escucha toda la fiesta de los recintos de alrededor, flyeros por todos lados, no me agrado eso.

It is in the middle of an area that is blocked off at night for drinking and partying. The cab had no to park 3 blocks away and walk us in with our bags. The party went on all night long and music vibrated the walls. The refrigerator only looked like a fridge, it kept stuff room temp. No more than 2 people in the elevator at a time. The fire alarm battery was going off every minute the fist night, so they just removed the fire alarm. Not so safe. Breakfast was ok continental, no creamer for coffee. They even called my tour organizers to let them know that I had arrived at the hotel and arranged my pick-up time. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Excellent location also. This was a very good Expedia hotel compared with the disaster that was Golden Cairo hotel in Cairo Egypt which I had the misfortune to experience last April. Nu House was an excellent choice and the kind of hotel that Expedia should be associated with.

OK for a couple nights

Visited a sister who is living in Quito and decided on this hotel because of location and the pictures of accommodations. The location is great with all the restaurants and nightlife right outside your door and the staff was mostly helpful (the bell hops were excellent help!). The pictures of the rooms helped our selection but was disappointed on arrival as it was more run down than expected. For $93 a night for 3 people, I wouldn’t stay here again as it is a little steep for what you get. The beds were comfortable but the room was a little tight for 3 people. The bathroom is large however the dim lighting and dark stone tile throughout made it feel really dingy. Overall, the pictures left us disappointed on a arrival. Book your own transport or have them call a airport taxi. For three people they would have charged us $108 when a taxi would be $25 - albeit they would have booked a private van transfer. Uber is everywhere in Quito and it’s cheap too!

Um hotel honesto e que atende bem.

Hotel simples, locado em um dos pontos de referência de Quito, cumpre bem seu papel. Vale um destaque para o pessoal; sem exceções, os funcionários se mostraram prestativos, cordiais e sempre dispostos a ajudar. Há aspectos passíveis de melhoria sem a mobilização de investimentos vultosos e que, se levados adiante, poderiam trazer mútuos benefícios a hóspedes e proprietários do Hotel. Melhoria na iluminação nos apartamentos, especialmente no banheiros, e uma redução da monotonia do café da manhã, reduziriam desconfortos aos funcionários em função de reclamações pertinentes apresentadas por hóspedes e sobre as quais não possuem qualquer possibilidade real de intervenção. De outro lado, reduziriam em muito o número de comentários restritivos que se encontram nas avaliações apresentadas pelos hóspedes. Uma menção recorrente que se encontra sobre excesso de ruído da rua, a nosso ver, pode não ser tão significante. A rigor, as janelas duplas garantiram o silêncio necessário em todos os dias de nossa primeira estadia - vamos repeti-la na próxima semana -, exceção parcial de sexta para sábado, mesmo assim sem prejudicar o descanso de forma significante.

location of the hotel was great. one thing that comes to mind that I did not totally like was that the bathroom was dark (dark green tiles) very modern though. I like bright white bathrooms. and another thing I did not really like was the breakfast served. front desk was great. information of the bellman was great. they offered us extra pillows in the room. Oh the elevator took me a couple of times up and down and did not stop on my floor

If there were 10 stars I could give, I would. First and foremost for me was the beyond excellent service I received from Byron Albuja at the front desk! He helped me arrange two days of activities and a taxi to and from the hotel before we even arrived in Quito. The prices for our activiities and the taxi were excellent as well as the guide/driver we were set up with. Byron communicated via email very prompt and made our two days in Quito stress free and very enjoyable. The hotel was very nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious and wait staff was very good as well. I would recommend the Nu House for first time visitors (especially) but older timers as well.
