"There are vacations, and then there are vacations. This place is about as unique as they come. A few things to be aware of. First the drive from the Airport is a 7 hour drive. Be prepared for that. Once you arrive to the climb in the mountains, it can be rough. Be sure to rent the right vehicle for that. It can be a challenge to find it in the dark. Once there, it’s an absolute paradise. "We had a great 5 days at Iguana Lodge. The staff and owner were very friendly and responsive. The room was comfortable. There was a bit of noise from the kitchen and food aromas at times. The only downside to the property was the road leading from Puerto Jimenez to Iguana Lodge.
The beachfront and pool were wonderful. Very relaxing. Food was great but more options would have been nice a well. Morning breakfasts were great. "
