Providence Canyon State Park

Providence Canyon is nicknamed Georgia's Little Grand Canyon. I think it is aptly named.

I had been here about 25 years ago, but really wanted to go back. It is in the middle of nowhere, so I have been waiting for a reason to head down this direction. If you go, I would highly recommend canyon 4&5. This is the view above the canyon, which you can walk through at the bottom!

Walking through the canyon you can really get a view of the walls and colors of the rocks.

These buttes were really beautiful. The reds from the iron oxide mixed with the quarts sand cakes really created so many levels to this canyon. It is crazy to see what a little water can do.
