"I arrived at the property, which is a self check in in facility. I had recieved no notofication of codes for entry so had to call the help number. I was told my room number and recieved a text with code. On locating the room, it was already open and had not been serviced after the previous occupant. i called help again and the needed to wait around 30 minutes for the arrival of staff and the room prepared for me. Once i got in the room, the door handle fell off on the inside. Not impressed at...

"Food was very good, reception very helpful, room very quirky. I had to book a family room as last one left - was the only room on the top floor built into the eaves. Two double bedrooms, very spacious and nice and quiet. Be aware that the rooms are in an apartment style building (bit like Butlins) across the car park. There is no lift - I was on the 2nd floor and struggled a bit with my suitcase as I have a bad hip (age!). I would also recommend to the hotel that they put some grab bars in...

"Close to where we needed to be,comply bed. Parking is chargeable £8.20-24hrs Says restaurant,but no breakfast served. Loud music going on 1.30am Our door was broken,was told at check in,we was given impression someone was coming to look,no one did. Could not turn the water down to the shower,far too hot,so gave it a miss. Bathroom door did not shut,debris from that door in the bathroom."

However, the staff were super helpful and friendly. Everything closes at 8pm ( bar, front gates etc) so not a place to stay if you are looking to relax of an evening outside of your room. "

"The hotel has plenty to offer. The only downside was no Aircon on a particularly hot evening and the inability to open the windows wide enough to let any air in. There was a fan provided but it didn't have the power to make a difference. Otherwise a good venue."

"This location was unusually nice. Yes, the rooms are above a pub, but it was very quiet, at least while we were there. The staff were very nice and helpful. The parking is a bit of a walk, down the street at the local race track, which has a very secure locked gate to their lot. It was included in the price and wasn't an issue for us. "We had a love 2 night stay in The Old Coffee Tavern. The staff are all very friendly and helpful The bed was very comfortable and a good size, we both slept really well Good generous tea, coffee and milk. Normally you just get enough for 2 teas or coffees each but we had about twice this which was really good. The bar has a good atmosphere with good selection of food and drink. It does need a general overhaul with the skirting coming away in some areas and a general redecoration"

"A very nice place and excellent pub food. We stayed in the "annex" across the street from the pub. As they warned, the staris were steep, so those with mobility issues may have trouble. The room was large and the bathroom was good. We only requested room cleaning once during our 6-night stay. The only minor issue was it seemed the common hallways and our room floor was not vacummed. All other services were excellent. We would definitely return to the Rose & Crown."
