An older hotel but the staff were very helpful and accommodating. For a remote location rooms are clean, wasn't crazy about the pillows provided. Grocery store right across the street. Staff are good!

This hotel is an older basic Motel type hotel. It's clean but accommodations are older and it shows. Maintenance is OK but kept at low budget. One corner of bed frame placed on small rock rather than proper base roller. Fixed promptly after it became a problem and was reported.
Some cultural communication issues with owner who struggles with special requests.
Hot breakfast good but essentially the same every day with options diminishing or fixed. Chef is good, polite and accommodating.
Surrounding town and adjacent pier is older type with pier under repair.
Very small town character, a bit tired looking.
Restaurants close early around dinner time with very limited options of places to chose from - beware!
Overwhelming positive experience are the very friendly local people, the beautiful nature and indigenous art/culture.

Convenient location for our overnight stay before going to Haida Gwaii.
Enjoyed it here, needs an upgrade, but overall it was clean and comfy beds, breakfast was ok,close to everything . Would come back, if you drive a one ton truck does not go into the underground parking.
Friendly staff, hotel was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very limited but found a good restaurant close by, stayed at the Pacific Inn for a total of 3 nights and would go back again.
The property is very dated and dingy. The carpeted stairwell smells of old dirty carpet and is visibly soiled. The room smelled musty and of stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom light shade had a visible layer of dust on it. But even worst were the fan blades on an oscillating fan provided in the room. There was at least 2mm of dust built up on the blades.
The carpet in the room was so visibly stained and dirty that we didn't want to take our shoes off. There were hand prints on walls, visibly poorly maintained and the decor was extremely outdated. There's also no air exchange unit in the rooms. Luckily we managed to open a window 3" to get some fresh air. I brought these issues to the front staff and they were pleasant and apologetic. They offered to move us to another room but that room was no different.
We were charged an additional fee for having a dog with us but given the condition of the room before we got there, I don't understand how my dog would have made the room any more dirty or difficult to clean.
At the rate we paid I feel like we were ripped off. This should be no more than $100/night but we paid $160+ per fee.
I would never recommend this hotel to family or friends and certainly not recommend it as a stop for a family vacation.
Upside: the linens were clean, the toilet and sink were clean.
This hotel far exceeded my expectations! After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned about the conditions of the rooms. My room was clean and everything worked fine. The continental breakfast was good too and not too different from other places. There were boiled eggs, yogurt, apples, muffins, toast, bagels, coffee, and tea.
The hotel was in a good location.
Beds were decent.
Continental breakfast was decent.
Other than that, very disappointing.
Dirty, bad smell, smell of smoke and weed on the floor.
Will never stay here again.
