Fantastic little hotel! Everything from check in to check out was perfect. We stayed one night before flying out. The room was small but had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and great water pressure in the shower. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Words can’t adequately describe this hotel.it is a touch of Old Hollywood or Las Vegas but miraculously found in a small hotel by OPO airport. The decor is over the top with a glam vibe. Gold is the accent and remarkably the main feature and yes, it works. Stellar service with a sparkling wine welcome and a sweet cake slice compliment a solid continental breakfast of breads, fruit, yogurt, eggs, and beverages. Solar Antigo offers free transfer to and from the airport and local dining recommendations. While it’s situated in a location that is best for overnight stays while traveling or an airport layover you won’t be disappointed if you stay an extra day. What is most charming about this hotel is the nod to Portuguese culture and history and the genuine welcome one receives. You can stay at the chain hotels, but why would you when you can lay your head at this absolute gem.

We booked this hotel thinking it was the other Solar Antigo down the road which we had stayed in before. When we arrived at the wrong one, the staff members greeted us and explained the mistake I'd made. Fortunately they dropped us to the right place which was only 500m further down the road - still extremely convenient for Porto Airport. The Solar Antigo Luxury hotel was excellent. We needed a bigger room as there were 3 of us and there was plenty of space, the room was nice and clean and the staff were brilliant. Would definitely stay there again next time we use Porto Airport.
